Tyler's POV
I walked inside the library. It's been two weeks since I last saw Sunny roaming around school. I've heard that she dropped out yesterday because of an unknown reason.
It hurts me more because she never even told me about her sudden decisions. I sat on our favorite table as I looked through the window.
I wonder how is she right now? Does she eat well? Where did she stay right now? I looked at the empty corner in front of me. I can still see how she scratched her head as she reads those difficult words that she doesn't know.
I couldn't help but chuckle as I recall those times. This is the most vivid memory so far.

I recovered the small strip of paper I handed to her in between the pages of the book she's always reading. It's a hidden message scrambled for her to unscramble for her to know.
"You know what? You're too silly. I am having a hard time reading these words and yet you're adding up to my assignments."
I smiled as I can even remember this one, too. If only she knew what I intended to tell her at that time.
It was the feeling I know I am sure of having towards her. It was not an ordinary feeling of friendship, or a temporary feeling of liking someone and then forgetting it later on. I knew it was deeper than that. I learned that she was gone, and she decided to stop meeting me, I realized that I can't last a day without her. I realized that I can't be complete without seeing her beautiful face and captivating smile.
I just woke up one day realizing I love her so much.
----
Our maid approached me looking worried as she glanced from left to right.
"What is it, Miss Sandy?"
"Sir Tyler, I found a letter addressed to you inside the mailbox. I was able to retrieve it before your dad checked it earlier this morning."
"Miss Sandy, you're a trusted woman. Thank you so much."
"Don't worry about it, sir Tyler. I always see to it that I can help you in any way I can."
"Here, take this," I said, as I opened her palm and placed a dollar. I closed it as I looked into her face. She seemed surprised that she even attempted to return to me the money I just gave her."
"Sir, you don't have to do this. Anything I do is my help from my heart."
"Mine as well, Miss Sandy. I know you also needed this one. Please accept this as my gratitude for always being there for me." She looked as if she would cry any minute. I hugged her tight. I am thankful that even if mom is not showing me the love I asked, Miss Sandy is there to always fill the love I needed for a mother.
"Thank you so much sir Tyler. It is more than enough. Thank you so much for this. This is a great help. I will treat this as your treat to me."
"You deserve it dear."
The letter came from Sunny, as usual. However, I noticed that there's a kiss mark in front of the paper envelope. It even had a message in a cute handwriting that says, "Smile before you open…"
She's cute and silly at the same time. But that message indeed made me smile right away. She didn't need to tell me to do it. This letter addressed to me alone coming from her is everything. I rushed into my room in the attic upstairs. As soon as I locked the door of my room, I opened the envelope as if there's no tomorrow. I am too excited to read what's in it. Whenever I will think of Sunny's reply to my letter, I can't help but to feel very excited. She's giving me this feeling of mixed emotions rushed as one. I received a lot of letters but hers is the only one that I wanted to read first.
The letter's content was more on warning and thoughtful nothings. I hope I can tell her that I don't think about those things too much. All I am concerned with right now is her safety instead. I know she's in danger. Both of her and her mother. I wanted to oppose what she wanted in the letter. It clearly expresses urgency that's why we'll be meeting at the hilltop again.
What was it all about? Was it about the conflict of their parents?
Did she miss me more than I miss her?
I couldn't help but smile as soon as I realized that next week is more than a chance. I have to tell her what I feel before it will be too late for me. Afterall, we can never know what our life will be. Now that we're surrounded by people who badly wanted all of us to go down, little by little.
Days passed really quickly. It was Monday morning. I will be meeting Sunny again at the same time this afternoon. I couldn't wait to meet her to finally confess the feeling that I have for her.
I wanted to pull the time so that it would be afternoon already. I did some little housework. I even talked to Miss Sandy to ask a piece of advice. She expressed support that I am planning to do. After all, we'll be going to that aspect of our life as well.
I came to the hilltop which I considered to be our secret hideout. I intended to come thirty minutes ahead of time so that I could prepare for my confession. I walked to and fro to practice how am I going to say it to her. I was surprised when two hands covered my eyes from behind me.
"Sunny?" I heard her giggle.
"Gosh, you never even pretend you didn't know me at first."
"Hey, that's my line. Why are you saying that?"
"It's nice. I never forgot that time you also did that to me." She said while smiling. She smelled so good. I guess she just took a bath before she went here to see me.
"I thought I would be waiting for you for so long. I never expected that you would arrive earlier, too."
"I have to tell you something very important." Her expression became different this time.
"What is it? I also wanted to tell you something…" I replied while looking into her eyes.
