Small Town Girl — Chapter 48

"Please love let me take you to the hospital," Nick said to me

"Nick, I am fine, I told you yesterday that we have an order of wedding cake and it takes so much of our time that is why I am so stressed" He closes the gap between us and feel my temperature with the back of his palm

"Ok, but promise me that you will go and see a doctor or call me if you are not feeling fine," He said

"I promise" saying that I take my handbag and head to work.

When I get to my restaurant, I went to my office and see what I can do because there is not much to do. I always help my workers in the kitchen if there are lots of works but today there is not much to do in the kitchen.

"Hey, what happens to you, Bella?" Annie said while she takes a seat in front of my desk.

"I am fine, I am just a little bit stressed for the past because of the order of the wedding cakes we made," I said to her but she looks at me as if there more to say.

"Are you sure?" She asked and I nodded my head "But what I seeing now is different from been stressed"

"What is it that you are seeing Doctor Annie?" I asked

"When last did you see your period?" There we go again, she is the first person to notice when I am pregnant with Mia.

"You have started again, Doctor Annie, did you remember my pregnancy with Mia?" She started laughing.

"I am serious" She went to the nearest pharmacy and bought 2 different types of pregnancy kit. I use it and it came out positive.

"Doctor Annie, you have said and it came out positive," I told her when I come out of the bathroom.

"Congrats my dear friend" She stands up and hugs me.

"Thanks" I said weakly.

"Hope there is no problem, I suppose you should be happy," She said and pull my hand with her to seat on the couch in my office.

"What if he is not happy about it? What if Nick said he is not ready to have another child? What if …….   "

"When will you let go of your fear? Have you told him and he said no? Bella, Nick loves you so much, he can't say such things" She wipes away my tears and hugs me.

"Thanks, don't you think I should go to the hospital to confirm before I told Nick?" I told her

"Yes, that is what I want to hear from you," She said and we both went out.

The doctor confirms that I am 5 weeks pregnant and she warns me not to be too stressed because of my health issues and my past issues during pregnancy then she prescribe medicines for me.

After I finish work, I head home but I slept before Nick comes back.

NICK P.O.V

"I will take her to the hospital tomorrow either she likes it or not," I said to Nancy.

She told me that she notices Bella not feeling fine because it has been some days now that she did not eat dinner and she also sleeps early before I come back from work which she never does.

I notice that she goes to bed early for the past one week now, sometimes she acts weirdly, I realized that she always complained of been tired, she always complained when I use perfume or body spray, she said the smell is not nice and this is the spray I have been using for years, whenever we want to eat breakfast she always said she does not have any appetite. With all these, I can't let her go to work tomorrow unless after we see a doctor.

"Bella either you follow me to see a doctor tomorrow or I carry you there by myself, your choice," I said to her sleeping self.

"Good night my queen" I kiss her forehead and went to the bathroom.

I woke up to the sound of someone puking, I get down from the bed and saw Bella kneeling in front of the toilet.

I move closer to her and kneeled by her side patting her back, when she was done she fell weak that she hardly stand on her own, I made her sit on the bathtub, I splash water on her face and brush her teeth after that she told me that she wants to take a shower and I should do it for her.

After I shower for her, I wrapped her in a towel and carried her into the room, I made her sit on the bed and went inside the closet to get a cloth for her to wear.

"Should I make anything for you to eat?" I asked her but she said she wants only water.

I went to the kitchen to bring a cup of water for her and I also brought a jug of water with me in case she wants more. After that, she told me to lie down and snuggle closer to me.

"I can't take this anymore Bella, you are going to see a doctor tomorrow," I said to her and she nodded her head positively.

I pull her closer to me and rub her back until she falls asleep.

I wake up looking at my queen sleeping beside me, her face is dull and she looks weak. I am not happy about it at all. I can't let anything happens to her.

I slowly untangled myself from her and made my way downstairs to prepare something for her to eat.

I make pancakes, fried eggs with toast because that is her favorite and I make a cup of orange juice. I made my way to the bedroom to wake her up.

"Good morning love," I kissed her on her forehead.

"Good morning dear" She replies and turns to the other side.

"Please stand up and have your breakfast" I climb on the bed beside her but she snuggles up to my waist.

"I want to sleep more," She said

"Bella stand up and come and eat, then I will take you to the hospital, don't think you will escape it this morning" I help her to the bathroom and she brushes her teeth.

I put the food tray on her lap but she covers her nose telling me to take away the fried egg that it smells bad. I don't understand anything again, friend egg also smells bad to Bella now which once her favorite.

"How are you feeling?" She eats the pancake and drinks the orange juice.

"I am fine, thanks"

I made my way inside the closet to change my cloth and also get cloth for her to wear.

"Nick, how many times have I told you not to use that perfume and body or whatever you use" She scream angrily.

Immediately I removed all my clothes and wear another one without anybody spray or perfume. I remove the cover from her head and pull her to me while I rest on the headboard.

"Bella, what is happening to you? Why are you behaving like this because I can't understand anything again?"

"It is your baby that made me behave like this," She said

"The kids are with Nancy, how are they disturbing you?" This girl wants to make me crazy.

"Your baby here" She takes my hand and puts it on her belly.

"You mean your ……… wait" My eyes widened in surprise when I understand what she is trying to say "You mean you are pregnant" I sit upright and pull her to face me.

"Yes," She said and I pull her into a tight hug.

"Thank you so much" I feel tears rolling down my eyes.

"Nick, why are you crying?" She wipes my tears.

"I remember the last time you told me you are pregnant with Max, I was such a jerk back then that I called you with different types of bad names, I am so sorry for hurting you then, I don't know this is what you are going through yet I still hurt you. I promise you I will be with you throughout this pregnancy" I kiss her forehead and rub her belly.

"Thank you my queen for forgiving me, thank you for making me a better person, thank you for been my wife after all that I have done to you, thank you for this good news, thank you for making me the happiest man" I pulled her closer to me and kiss with all the love I have for her.
