Small Town Girl — Chapter 43

I enter the bathroom to take shower, after that I get dressed and out on the dress Nick sent to me, I apply little makeup, put on the earring, and end with the heel sandal. After I finish dressing, I look at myself in the mirror ask her myself "Am I doing the right thing?"

After some minutes of thinking about my decision, I heard a knock on my door and I open it.

"Mr. Nick is waiting for you" Nancy looks at me up and down and later said "Wow, you are looking beautiful," She said smiling and walks away. I pack my things and put them inside my purse and went out.

I saw Nick in the living room typing on his phone, he looks so handsome in his outfit, he rose to his feet when he saw me and move closer to me.

"You look gorgeous" He leans closer to me and placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Thanks," I said hiding my blushing face.

"Shall we?" He holds his arm out for me to grab, I look at his arm then his face. "Please" I hold his hand and we move out of my apartment.

The ride to the restaurant was quiet, we did not say anything to each other but I caught him stealing glances at me every now and then. After some minutes, I ask him where is he taking me just to kill the silence but he said it is a surprise.

When he stops the car, I look around and see that we are in a restaurant, the restaurant is so nice. One of the waiters walk up to us and Nick told him that he already has a reservation and he asks for his name, after that the waiter lead us to our table and give us a menu after we take our seats. Nick first order for wine and ask me what I want and order for juice.

After some minute, the waiter returns with our wine and juice and take our order. "Your food will ready shortly," He said and walk away.

I pick up my juice and sip it quietly, I look everywhere but not Nick's face because he is looking at me and it is awkward to me.

"Is there anything on my face? I asked him just to start a conversation maybe he can stop staring at me.

"There is nothing on your face. I am just looking at the gorgeous lady sitting in front of me" I can't believe that I am blushing right now.

Before he talks again, our food arrives and we start eating, as Nick is eating he still stares at me and I told him to stop but he says no.

After eating our food, we sit looking at each other without saying anything.

"Did you need anything else? He asked me

"No, thanks I am ok"

"Bella, first of all, I want to say sorry for all that I have done to you and I hereby asking for your forgiveness, please forgive me" I can see the sincerity on his face

"I have already forgiven you," I said to him

"I know, but I still just want to say it again, since the first time I set my eyes on you, I can't explain how I feel about you, then, I just feel like seeing you, talk to you and I feel like to hear your voice that is why I always come to Nate's office. The night I got drunk, I don't mean to do what I did to you then but I feel attracted to you and I can't resist the feelings anymore, I regret all my action the next day, Nate came to me the next morning and hit me but I really wish to ask for your forgiveness but my ego did not allow me to do that when you come back and told me you are pregnant, I think that you are like other girls throwing themself on me to get money or famous because they always find an excuse to come back like they are pregnant and at the end, it will turn out to be a lie. I realize my feeling for you when you started living with me, I want to give you some time before I confessed my feelings for you, but before I do that you already left" He moves closer to me and wipe my tears.

"I have forgiven you, Nick, I believe that everything happened for a reason" he holds my hands in his hand.

"Bella, please will you give me another chance and be my girlfriend" He takes out a rose petal he is hiding and gives it to me.

"Yes," I said and collect it from him, I hope my decision did not backfire on me.

"Thank you, I promise I never hurt you again" He moves to my side and connect his lips to mine.

After leaving the restaurant, he takes me to watch movies and eat ice cream, we talk about Max's birthday.

He pleaded to me that we should celebrate Max's birthday at his Mansion in California. At first, I said no, but after he pleaded to me for several hours I later said yes.

"My darling daughter" Mrs. Davis is Nick's house helper.

"Mrs. Davis, how are you doing?" Mrs. Davis hugs me as I enter the mansion.

"I am alive and good as you left us" I can feel the sadness in her voice.

"I am sorry but I have to leave the last time, I scared I think Nick mean it to take my son away from me" The last time I left this place, she cried and begged me not to leave, she said since the time I started living with Nick, he saw new changes in Nick, she said I should not leave that I should try and talk to Nick about what I heard but I insist on leaving.

"No problem my dear, now that you are back I am sure you are here to stay. From the day Nick has found the three of you I can see the happiness on his face, he has changed his way of living, he said the three of you means a lot to him. Please give him a chance" She holds my both hand wait for my reply but Nick enters inside with the kids, that saves me from replying her because I don't know what to say.

It's been a week now that we arrived at Nick's place and we have started preparing for Max's birthday party. Annie and Natalie are also with me.

The day we arrived in California, Nick called Nate and Natalie to inform them, Natalie came to visit us that same day, she said she is angry at me and she said she is not here because of me but to see the kids that she has missed them. I said sorry to her and explained everything but she said at least I should come to her first before I decide to leave.

I bake 3 different cakes for the party, one cake is a two-tier cake with a racing car design and 12 cupcakes around it, the second one is a ball cake with a field design, and the third one is a Mickey Mouse design. After that, I decide to bake the remaining snacks tomorrow before the party started because I am so tired now.

Annie and Natalie have gone out for food and other things, I want to round up and go and relax I am so tired. I heard a footstep in the kitchen when I look back to see the person and it turned out to be Nick, he moves closer to me and massage my shoulder and before I know what it is happening, he kissed me on my shoulder. I feel the tingling sensation in my body and I feel relaxed.

"Hey" He said after a while

"Hi" I reply him, still massaging my shoulder.

Whenever he touched me, I feel some butterflies in my stomach, I don't know if what I am feeling for him is right, I don't know if I give in to the feeling was the right thing I am doing.

"Bella" Nick whispered, bringing me out of my thought.

"We shouldn't be doing this in the kitchen, we are not the only one at home" He move more closer to me, kissing me on my shoulder and wrapped his hand around my waist.

"We are not doing anything, I just want to be with my girlfriend" I don't know if what I am feeling is right considering what he has done for me.

"I think you guys should get a room because there are kids around and some adults are here who has nobody to cuddle with," Annie said winking at me

"Good evening Annie, how are you doing?" Nick greets Annie as both of them enter the kitchen.

"Good evening Nick, I am fine, thank you" Annie replied him smiling

"Please if you excuse us, I want to take my girlfriend with me" I feel shy after hearing what he said, he is now letting everybody knows that I am his girlfriend.

"No problem, you can take your 'girlfriend," Natalie said emphasizing the word girlfriend, I feel embarrassed because I know that both of them are making fun of me.

"Nick, please give me some minutes to round-up here, I will join you soon" He nodded his head and give me a quick kiss on my lips.

"What else are you scared of Bella? If you see the way he is looking at you, you will understand what I am saying" Annie after Nick went out of the kitchen

"Bella, there is nothing to be scared of, you know I am a friend to Nick I have never see that type of Nick before" she moves closer to me and holds my hands "Bella please give him another chance and let him make it up to you, all what he and Jack have done for you. Nick is no more a billionaire playboy that he is before, Nick has changed into a better person. Please put your fear aside and give him another" I nodded my head positively and both of them hug me.
