On our way home, we picked Mia from school and went home. Mrs. Davis opens the door for us when we get home and she smiles seeing us.

"Wow, what a lovely sight, it will be nice if you are together and be one happy family. Handsome Husband with his pretty pregnant wife and their lovely daughter" She said smiling

"Mrs. Davis I wish so but I promised you that I will try my best to be with them and be a happy family," Nick said

I think this guy is crazy, so he wants a happy family now, where did he put his brain when he said he is not ready to be a father? I won't lie to you, he is really trying his best to make me happy and want us to be together maybe to start a relationship. He once told me that "Bella please let start from the beginning, as boyfriend and girlfriend and we go on many dates, let's see where it will lead us" but I did not reply to him the day he said that. I have no love left to give to any other man since the time Jack left us, he also adds more to it when he said I did not worth being his wife. I only love my kids now.

Mrs. Davis talk to me and said I should see his effort trying to be good to me, she said I should try to forgive him but not entirely because men will be men because she can't guarantee that he will not be an asshole again but I should enjoy this happiness but I told her that what is the benefit of the happiness I will enjoy and he will later hurt me again. Later she said she did not think that he would hurt me again because he can see that in him.

NICK P.O.V

Bella is now 9 months pregnant, this week starts her 9 months and I am expecting her to pop out my baby anytime from now.

I am still trying to win her heart and I can see that she is opening up to me little by little but if I buy something for her she will not collect it from me, one day I gave her my credit card in case she wants to buy anything but she refused. She likes to wear simple clothes, she is not a fan of designer and expensive clothes. I realized that Bella is not a materialistic lady. She likes to stay simple and I love that. She is different from other girls I dated before.

She has allowed me to be taking her daughter to school and I will also be the one to pick her up but not until Mrs. Davis talks to her and say that she should try to forgive me. She now talks to me and I always follow her to every doctor's appointment, Nate and Natalie also come to visit us, and both of them saw the way I am treating her, if she wants to stand up I will help her and when she wants to serve them I follow her to the kitchen and help her, she says thanks and smiles at me. I really love her smile. When it is time for them to leave they told me that I should continue the way I am now, they say if I ever hurt her again they said they will hurt me the way I will not like at all and Nate said he will kick my balls that I won't be able to fuck any girl again in my life.

Most of the time I observe her that she feels too tired and dizzy, she becomes more nauseous and complains of headaches but whenever I ask her to let's go to the doctor she said she is fine that it is necessary to feel that way but I think she is hiding something from me. I can see that she is really in pain but whenever I ask her she will say she is fine. Today is her appointment and I will ask the doctor to tell me exactly her health issues.

"Hello my lovely princess, how are you?" Doctor Sarah said

"I am fine," Bella said and Doctor Sarah also greet me and I reply her.

"Is there any complaint?" She asked and at the same time, she told her to lie down on the bed for her to check her baby.

I helped her to stand up but I can see that she held her belly and I can see that she is bleeding, I told the doctor and she immediately called for an emergency. They push her to the emergency room and they attend to her, while I am waiting I called Nate and Natalie and explained what happened to them and they told me that they will join me.

After some minutes, Doctor Sarah came out and told me that she has to deliver the baby now because her health is deteriorating. I don't understand and I ask her to explain, she said that

"Bella is an anemia patient and during her pregnancy, she was diagnosed with preeclampsia but it is not too late before we detect it and I told her that she needs to be admitted in the hospital to be treated well but she said no and she also said she can't afford the expensive, she never hide anything from me and I told her to tell the father of the baby but she said he did not want the baby and Nate and Natalie has bought all her baby stuff for her so she did not want to disturb them again for hospital expenses. Her friend Annie sends money to her for her medicines, she also doesn't want to disturb her. Bella told me that she wanted to have the baby and she did not mind her health. That is why I told her to come for a checkup 2 to 3 times a month to monitor her health. I really wish to help her but I am also working in this hospital all I can do for her is to treat her for free. She told me before both of you are living together that if anything happens to her while she gives birth I should give her baby to her friend Annie or Nate and his wife" She said and tears roll down from my eyes.

I am such a jerk, this woman is dying having my baby and I abandon her because of my stupid attitude.

"Please Doctor Sarah I don't care any amount, I will give you but I want you to save Bella, her kids need her and I also need her. Please doctor" I told Doctor Sarah with tears.

She said ok and walked away, later Nate and Natalie came and they asked me what happened and why am I crying, I explained what happened to them.

Later Doctor Sarah comes out and asks me if I want to be with her in the delivery room and I said yes.

One nurse comes to me and told me to wear one clothes like doctor clothes I don't know it and said I should follow her, I saw her, she was sweating and crying at the same time and there are doctors around her, I hold her hand and Doctor Sarah told her that she can do it, she is a strong woman. She looks at my face and tells me to bend down and I do so.

"Nick, I know I am not worthy to be your wife and we are not on the same level but please I beg you, please take care of my kids and tell them how much I love them, I already know that I can't make it but I am happy that I carried him full term. Please don't think about this poor me, think about the kids, and take good care of them. Tell Nate, Natalie, and Annie that I really appreciate their effort and care for me, I am saying thanks to them" She said weakly and smiled.

"Bella I know you are a strong woman don't think like that you can do it and you will be the mother of your kids, nobody will take care of them very well except you. Please they need you and I also need you. I love you Bella" I said with tears and kiss her on her lips.

After I released her lips she looked at me and she did not say anything.

"I know you are strong and you are also a fighter, please fight for yourself and fight for your kids," I said

After some minutes Doctor Sarah told her to push and she did while I am still holding her hand but she later stopped and pushed again and said that she is tired. One of the doctors said she should try it once more, she pushes again and holds my hand very tightly, soon I heard my baby cry, I look at her and kiss her longer than the first one. I said thanks to her and she nods her head and smiles. Doctor Sarah put her baby on her chest and she gives him to me, after giving the baby to me she holds my hand so tight and starts breathing heavily. The doctor started attending to her and they told me to go out.

Bella, please be good, I need you and your kids need you the most.
