Small Town Girl — Chapter 36

I did not reply to Nate because I am short of words and he is right. I hope I find Bella and she forgives me because I did not know that she was hearing what I am discussing with my parents. We step inside the airport and we make some finding and I discover that Bella is traveling to Florida. We went back to the car after that.

"Nick, I think you should clear the floor with your parent before you went in search of Bella and the kids," Nate said

"Ok, I will do that, but did you know maybe she has someone in Florida that she went to meet," I asked Nate

"I am not sure, she never mentions anybody in Florida to me and her Aunt that brought her here in California is not living in Florida. Maybe you should call her friend she will know more about her" Nate said

Annie will be angry with me because when Bella gave birth she already threatens me that if anything happens to her or I hurt her again, she said she will make my life a living hell. How am I going to talk to her now? I’m dead.

After I dropped Nate, I went back to my company and I called Annie, I collected her number from Nate.

"Hi," I said

"Please who am I talking to?" She said

"It is Nick" Immediately she heard my name, she shouts at me

"You are such a manipulating bastard when Bella gives birth I told you to let me take her with me but you said no that you love her and you want to make things better between the two of you. Is this how to show her your love? Is this how to make it better by taking her son away from her?" she said angrily

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt her like this, I did not know that she heard what I am telling my parent, I know my mom she can do and undo, I don't want her to hurt Bella," I said

"That is a stupid excuse if you really love her you will tell your parent that you love her and that is what you want," she said

"I am sorry, I will make everything right this time"

"That is what you said the last time"

"This is the last time I will ever hurt her again, please I want to ask you whether she has any relative in Florida," I asked her

"She did not have anybody there, why are you asking, is she in Florida?"

"I make an inquiry at the airport and it was confirmed that she went to Florida," I said

After my conversation with Annie, I rounded up my work and headed to my parent's place. I called a friend of mine in Florida and I told him to do me a favor and he said yes, I gave him the details of Bella and told him to help me find him. He said he has a private investigator that he will assign for me.

I want to talk to my parents first. After that, I will go to Florida also to find Bella and my kids. I don't want to be a coward anymore, I want her in my life.

"Son, are you sure you know where you are going? maybe you enter the wrong house" I am not surprised by her word because I did not normally visit them

"Mom, it is here I am coming and I want to talk to you and dad," I said

"I know if it is not important, you won't come here. Your father is in his study room" She said and I follow her to meet my dad

"Your son said he wants to talk to us" My mom tell my dad

"Nick, it is good that you came here, I am about to call you because I have talked to my lawyer and he said that we did not need so much evidence against your so-called baby mama, so when did you want us to file the custody case?" My dad said

"That is the reason why I came here. I don't want to file any case against her anymore. Mom, dad I love Bella and I want to be with her and my kids" My mom slap me as soon as I said that

"Then you must be a bastard, how can you get love or get married to that dirty girl? A single mother for that matter" My mom said

"Mom she is not a dirty girl, I love her and I want to marry her," I said nervously, don't blame me it is because I am a mama boy.

"I can't accept her and it is not possible for you to father another person's daughter. I can't accept her to be my daughter-in-law" My dad said

"Being a single mother is not a bad thing mom, and for your information, if you sue her or file a case for custody of my son, she will win because I rape her. She helps me home the day I rape her, she found me by the roadside being drunk, I take advantage of that moment and raped her. She has a lot of evidence against me, when she came to my office and said that she was pregnant I told her instantly that I did not want the baby and I am not ready to be a father, she has recorded all that I said. When you told me to leave her now, will she not be a single mother again? It is because of a jerk like me who left her with a baby that made her a single mother today. Assuming she did not have a daughter before and I left her with my son now, won't she be a single mother? Mom, you are a woman and I supposed you should understand better being a woman, if it is my sister that a man raped and left her with a child, won't you hurt the man?" My Dad slaps me for the second time

"How dare you talk to your mother like that, you are a bastard, get out of my house now, I don't want to see you in my house again," My dad said and I walk out of their house

I enter my car and drive off, I look at my face and it is red from the slap, but I don't mind if this is what I get from being with them. They are my happiness. I will not be a coward again. I refuse to be a mama boy again, they have controlled my life since I was small, now it is enough they want me to marry a girl from a rich family but all the dates they are setting me up for always end up badly.

When I get home, I open the door and nobody runs to greet me, I look around the house and it looks empty.

I walk upstairs to Bella's room and look around, her scent is still inside the room and the scent of my son, after I come out from there I went to Mia's room and look around. I can see that she did not take along all that I bought for her and the kids along with her.

I am sorry Bella, I didn't mean to hurt you. I went to my room and took a shower then lay down on my bed, thinking about the happy moment we had together the last time before she went away, later I slept off.

The next day when I woke up, it was already 10 in the morning and I went downstairs to see Bella and my kids, but when I got to the kitchen I remember that they are not here again. I saw Mrs. Davis

"Good morning," She said

"Good morning" I replied to her

"I know you are sad about Bella and the kids, you are used to them being around," She said

"Yes, I really fucked up," I said

"I know you did not mean what you said I know it is because of your mom, you should have explained to Bella before you will say something like that" She also knows the attitude of my parents and she knows what they can do.

"I don't know that she will hear," I said

"No problem, don't cry over spilled milk, what are you planning to do now?" She asked me

"I am planning on bringing them back, I can't leave without them anymore," I said

"That’s good, what about your parents, have you tell them? She asked me

"Yes, I have told them yesterday and my dad said he did not want to see me in his house again," I said

After my conversation with Mrs. Davis, I head inside my room and lie down on the bed. I am expecting a call from my friend. I need to go to Florida to go and bring them back. I will do anything it takes for me to bring them back.
