Small Town Girl — Chapter 33

After I woke up, I did not see anybody besides me but I tried to stand up but I feel weak in my leg, I sit back and wait, soon later Nick came inside immediately he saw that I had wake up he walks faster toward me and I told him to I want to drink water.

After I drink water, he asks about how I am feeling and I said I am fine, he apologies to me for what he has done to me and hugs me but it surprises me because I can remember that when I am in labor he kiss me. I am scared that if I give him a chance, will he not insult me again?

I ask about my baby and he said he will go and call Doctor Sarah to check on me first then he will bring my baby, later Doctor Sarah come inside and check me and bring my baby, as soon as I take him from her I hug him and tears fall from my eyes. I ask Nick what name did he give to him and he said he is waiting for me to name him that he did not deserve to name him.

I name him Max, I also name him in my country's language as OLUWASEMILORE (God has done good for me). Later that day Annie comes and she is so happy and she is also angry with me that I did not tell her about my illness, she said if I tell him she will have given me the money and she cannot sees me as a burden, Nate and Natalie also are angry and they told me that I should have told them everything and I told that I thank God that am fine and my baby is good.

I was discharged after one week and I was surprised again by Nick because he drives us to his mansion, not his penthouse, he has decorated a bedroom for me, a room for Max but he will stay with me for now and another princess theme bedroom for Mia. In my own bedroom is simply a set of matching set of furniture like a bed and two bedsides on each side of the bed and a dressing mirror, another two doors, one to the bathroom, and the other to the closet. There is also a chest of drawers for the baby and a baby bed for Max, it is very nice.

In Mia's room, the painting of the room is pink with Disney princess wallpapers on the wall, in the right corner of the room there is a table and chair to study and on the other side of the bed, there is a big lamp also in pink color. Next to the table is a pink wardrobe, there is also a dressing mirror with a chair in pink color.

"Nick you don't need to do all this," I said to him but in my mind, I like all that he did

"I have to, I want us to be together, I am not joking about you giving me a second chance, I will make everything to make you happy," He said

"I know but just a bedroom is good for me and my kids for the main time we will go back to our apartment," I said

"No you are not going back, please Bella let start everything from the beginning. I did not say you should give me an answer now but I want you to think about it, please" He said

I did not reply to him and went inside my room to take a shower and he is sitting downstairs in the living room with Max and Mia after I finish I go and meet them to eat dinner because Mrs. Davis has already made dinner for us.

After we finish eating I walk straight to my bedroom and attend to Max, Nick also goes and put Mia to bed.

At the midnight Max start crying and before I reach Max, Nick opens the door and ask me what happened to him and I said maybe he is hungry and he went out and I breastfeed him after I breastfeed him, he is playing and Nick enters my room and said he said I should sleep that he will stay with him.

Some days after I get discharge Annie travels back to Texas but before she went back I explained everything to her, how Nick is doing good to me and he is pleading for another chance. She said if I have feeling for him I should give him a chance, she also said she sees how he is taking good care of us.

3 months later

Nick is really taken care of me since I gave birth to Max, he is the one taking Mia to school and also pick her up. Every weekend he takes her to have fun, sometimes they went to amusement parks, the cinema to watch kid's movies and went shopping after that. He bought things, for the three of us and he also begs me to use what he bought for us. He takes me to the hospital every two weeks after I gave birth until Doctor Sarah said I am doing fine, after that he said he wants me to be going for a checkup every once a month. Every night he comes when he heard Max's voice because he has a baby monitor in his room, sometimes he will tell me to sleep that he will attend to him.

At the weekend we are preparing to go out, that is the first time I and Max will follow Nick and Mia out, we get inside his car and he drives off.

We first went to the shopping mall, while we in the car Mia and Nick are talking telling Nick all that she wants to buy and all that she will do in the park, I am even surprised that they are so close to this extent. I just pray that Nick did not change because Mia is so close to him now when he shows the bad side him I can still take everything but I can't endure the sadness of my kids.

When we get to the mall, he holds Max and I hold Mia but later Mia went beside him and holds his hand, while I am walking beside them. People were staring at us, some are whispering to themselves that they are so cute while some are looking at me with envy. The looks I am receiving from some make my legs so weak. After we shop for something we went to the food court and order food, after some minutes Mia said she wants to get something and Nick follows her he told me to wait not to stress myself again that he will follow her. After Nick and Mia walk away, I notice that some people are taking pictures of us I later understand that Nick is a popular millionaire playboy.

After they come back, we went to another place, from an ice cream shop to an amusement park, later we went home but when we get home I am the one that first enters the house because Mia is sleeping so I decide to take her inside and Nick is coming with Max.

When I enter the house I met some visitors two elder people one man and one woman, I don't know them but the elderly man looks like Nick. I greet them but they did not answer me and I am thinking about who they are.
