Lily Hates Me: A Love Story · Angela Lynn Carver
Chapter 41
Read online · About 6 minutes"I love your mom, she is so sweet," I said to Tony.
"Yes, she will make an excellent grandma when you have my babies," Tony said casually.
"Tony! Stop messing around!" I smacked him on the back of his head.
"Okay, okay, my bad. I'll stop fucking with you. How's your hangover?" he laughed.
"Surprisingly, not that bad," I said.
"Good. Next time, quit at shot number two because I am not nursing you all night again," he declared.
"Fine by me, never again," I groaned.
Tony walked me to my door. "Well it's been fun, lets never do it again," he said.
"Agreed," I nodded.
"You should probably text Anthony and tried to save face before he finds his ideal nerd wife and ditches you for good," he smirked.
Ugh...Anthony. How am I going to face him again after what I did to him? I hope his nose is not broken. I should really go see him in person.
"Bye then," Tony said and proceeded to leave.
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"
We both paused as my dad's voice came from the side. Shoot he caught us. What was he doing outside so early anyway?
I looked at him nervously. His clothes were covered in dirt and grass. He must've been doing yard work out back and heard our voices. Dammit, I should've whispered.
"Who the fuck is this hooligan, Summer?" he roared. Oh dad, always so dramatic.
"I am Anthony Dean sir, nice to meet you," Tony said. He stood up straight like he was talking to a drill sergeant.
"I am her dad, Jacob Phillips. I might be getting old, but my memory hadn't failed yet. So if I remember correctly, this wasn't the Anthony you left with. Explain yourself, young lady," he squinted his eyes at me. "Are you collecting Anthonys?"
"Ehh..." I tried to gather my thoughts.
"If you are planning on getting into some weird three-way relationship with two Anthony you can just kiss your life goodbye. I am sending you to a boarding school," dad declared.
"Eww dad! NO! He is just a friend," I told him.
"Summer is right sir, I couldn't get her to agree on a three-way relationship," Tony feigned disappointed.
Ugh! He is gonna get me in trouble with his dumb jokes.
"Oh really? So, let me ask you this, what are your intentions for my daughter?" dad asked. Not with this lame question again. I wasn't even trying to date Tony so why ask him that? I was starting to get frustrated.
"My intentions?" Tony looked at dad. "Only bad ones, sir," he smirked.
What the fucking fuckery is this? I am going to kill him when I see him next.
"I see..." dad looked thoughtful. "Well then, I'll leave you kids to it. Time to go finish my work," he said and walked away.
What the...that's it? He is not going to throw Anthony off the property?
"Well, it looks like your dad approves of me. Let's seal our blossoming relationship with a wet and sloppy kiss," Tony said and tried to kiss my cheeks with his tongue out.
"In your dreams, just go home already!" I squealed. I really don't get dad sometimes.
"Alright, goodbye then. Gotta go find another booty call to make up for last night," Tony grinned and waved goodbye.
I shook my head and went inside. I decided to call Anthony and apologize 100 times. I took a deep breath and dialed his number.
Summer, hey! Did you get home alright? Anthony said on the other line.
"Yes. Thanks for asking. Is your nose okay?" I asked right away.
Yeah, it's not broken or anything. Just bruised, he said.
"So you aren't mad at me?" I asked.
Of course not, it was an accident, he said.
Phew...thank God.
"Hey, Why don't you come over to my house to study and hangout? My parents are going on a date," I suggested.
Is that really okay? He asked.
"Yes," I said.
He hesitated at first but ended up agreeing. I quickly fixed my hair and makeup and waited for him to arrive.
Soon enough he was at my house and we started talking.
"So did Tony treat you alright? He can be a bit rough sometimes but he is not a bad guy," he said.
"Not a bad guy? You just stopped him from bullying someone the other day!" I exclaimed.
Anthony chuckled. "Yeah, but he wasn't actually going to beat him up. He was just trying to scare him."
I had to ask him too. I've been dying to know since that day.
"How come he pretended not to know you the other day? I asked him but he won't tell me and I'm dying of curiosity," I said.
"It's a long story," Anthony said.
That's what Tony said to me too.
"So what is it? Why are you guys so mysterious about it?" I pressed for more.
"There was an incident during the freshman year, with him, me, and my sister," he said quietly.
"Jessica?" I looked at him quizzically.
"Oh God no. My other sister, Shelby. She is two years older than us. And it well... kind of ruined our friendship. So we decided to pretend not to know each other in front of other people. But honestly, I'm kind of over it. I still like him," he exhaled.
I wonder what happened. I didn't push him for more information. I'm sure he'll tell me eventually.
I bet it had something to do with Tony's man whorish ways.
"I should get going," Anthony said.
"What? No...stay," I said.
"I have a paper due tomorrow. It was nice hanging out though. We should do it again sometimes. Just you and me," he smiled.
Yay progress.
"Okay," I pouted. "Maybe we can go out to dinner and a movie next time?" I looked at him expectantly.
"That sounds good, bye Summer," he said and left.
I decided to sleepover at Sarah's house and give her all the deets. She'd definitely die when she learns I slept over at Tony's house.

"Bitch you did what!" Sarah exclaimed.
I was sitting on her bed several hours later and she was freaking out just as I predicted.
"Did something happen? Did Anthony Dean try anything with you?" she looked at me curiously.
"Surprisingly no. He was the perfect gentleman. He even washed my hair," I shrugged.
"Wow, lots of girls would be jealous of you," she said.
"You better not tell anyone!" I said. If the rumors go around, I'd be hated by a lot of girls and not to mention the Anthony I like!
"My lips are sealed," Sarah said. "Well, I'm not entirely surprised. Even though he fucks around with all the girls they never seem to be that mad at him for it so he must treat them well," Sarah said.
Who knows. It's hard to tell who the real Anthony Dean is with all of his teasing and bullying. I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious.
