A Fateful Chance — Chapter 60: EVER-AFTER WITH YOU AND FOREVER

Deandra's POV

Because of what Priya did to Walter, I filed additional charges of kidnapping. From what happened to Khalid several years ago, the retrial was made possible because of the new evidence.

She was proven guilty of the crime and she will serve a minimum of five years in jail for it. It made quite a buzz for both the fashion and business world. However, I didn't want it to last, that's why I used the power and money that I have to let it die the soonest way possible.

I stayed lowkey for the sake of my family, Andrew and Walter. My mom and siblings met Andrew for the first time when we got married the second time around.

This time, it is because we love each other. Looking back, I never thought I could forgive him this easy. Thanks to our son, Walter, these were all made possible.

"I guess I loved you before I even met you," Andrew whispered in my ear as he hugged me from behind. I couldn't help but to smile because of what he said.

"Hmm? How sure are you?" I teased. He chuckled a bit.

"I could still remember how you warned me to even 'kill' me if I'll not return the money that I didn't even snatched from you in the first place." He said as he laughed. I poked him on the stomach using one of my elbows as I frowned.

"Hey, that hurts!"

"You're terrible to even let me recall that. Well, at least we're even now."

"Even? How come?" He sounded as if teasing me again that it gets annoying.

"I paid you with Walter." He chuckled because of what I answered. He pulled me closer to his chest and planted a kiss on my lips.

"Oh, I did not see that coming but you have a point." He winked. We saw Walter rushing towards us. Andrew carried him in his arms and kissed our baby on both his cheeks that tickled him a bit. My baby boy laughed out loud because of what his daddy is doing for him.

"What do you want to do, young man?" Walter grinned as he looked at his daddy.

"Please go swimming with me, dad? Please?" His mesmerizing eyes caught the attention of Andrew, he just couldn't answer 'no' anymore.

"That is, when mommy will go with us." He looked at me, trying to mimic Walter's way of mimicking that cute, 'puppy eye' look. I couldn't help but laugh because of their similar characteristics. I couldn't deny they were really father-and-son in all aspects. I nodded and it made Walter jump for joy. We enjoyed a lot of hours in our infinity swimming pool at the third floor of the villa. Overlooking from where we are, I could see my sisters on the beach at the ground floor. They preferred swimming in the ocean right in front of the villa.

I could see mom grilling on the seaside, I could smell the food from where we are right now.

"Baby? Would you like to join your aunts? We'll swim in the beach with them too."

"Okay mommy!" I held hands with Andrew who stole a kiss when we went off the pool. We walked downstairs, passed by some coconut trees until we reached where my siblings and mom were enjoying right now.

I saw Andrew went with my son, carrying him as he put both of his legs around his nape. Walter shouted in excitement as they went deeper into the water. I chuckled as I looked at them, I never noticed my mom sat beside me.

"Enjoying everything?" She asked as she showed a genuine smile. She offered me a plate full of grilled meat cut into smaller and thinner pieces.

"Yes, mom. I couldn't ask for more."

"I am happy for you too, my dear. Everything that is happening to you right now? You deserve all of it."

"Mom, believe me, you're one of my inspirations why I came this far."

"I know you will soar new heights, dear. Just hold on." She said as she tapped me on my left shoulder. I can see that she's about to cry, though.

"Mom? Are you alright?"

She simply wiped it with her hands as she smiled. "Yeah, I am totally fine. It's just that I couldn't believe how strong you were all these years. We barely knew what you've been through."

"Mom, don't worry about it. What happened in the past was just worth cherishing. I am always using those experiences as my inspiration. Good or bad, it made me for who I am now."

"I am always proud of you, my love. Thank you so much for giving more than what you could offer. You are more than blessed now."

My mom hugged me tight. I hugged her back and I couldn't help but be touched. I admit, my mom is one of those people who inspired me to become better.

"Mom, there's something I want to show you." I could feel that I am blushing hard, my mom noticed it right away.

"What is it?" She looked curious and excited at the same time. I pulled a tiny kit on my mini-pocket and handed it to her. She almost freaked out and chuckled, she covered her mouth.

"Is this for real?" I nodded as she looked at the two red lines that registered on the pregnancy test kit.

"I am so happy for you, honey! Walter will finally have a sibling."

"Did I hear it right?" I turned my back as I could feel Andrew's arm wrapped around my waist. I smiled and hugged him tight. I could see the excitement in his eyes as he turned my body over, facing him as I nodded.

"I will be a daddy again for the second time!" He shouted that all of my sisters rushed to where we're standing right now. They all cheered for me as soon as they heard the good news.

"I am very happy, mommy! How I wish it would be a boy so that I could play with him!" Walter looked at me. I carried him in my arms and pinched his cheek a bit.

"It would be okay if it is a girl so that mommy could play with her, too." He added that made us all laugh. I never thought that he has a unique way of showing his humor.

"I love you so much. I will always love you for as long as I can. I know, forever will not be enough." Andrew proudly said it to me in front of my family. I could see my sisters clapped their hands as they teared up a bit.

"I love you too, sweetheart. Thank you for being there always. Yes, forever might not be enough but I will always love you for a lifetime." Before I could say more, he sealed our promises with a kiss.

I don't know what tomorrow could bring, I only have fate in our love. I know it is not the best out there, but I am sure it will be better as long as love binds it.
