A Fateful Chance — Chapter 46: LIFE’S COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS

"He's insane." Kylie simply answered when I told her everything.

"He seemed to be serious, Kylie."

"Yeah, and if you fall for that, you'll be dead for sure."

"This is how I should get my revenge. I have to let him fall in love with me and if that will happen, it will be easier for me to leave him."

"Are you sure about this, Dianne?"

"More than seven years of being sure about my plan."

"Do you think of a possible reconcilement with him?"

"Why would I? Kylie, it is already too late for him to think about that. I have to let this one happen for my plans to come true."

"I guess I can't stop you this time. I just wish you will not get into any trouble if you do it."

I noticed that Kylie is looking at me as if observing my reaction. She wanted to make sure that I tell what I really feel and not otherwise.

"Trust me on this." I assured her as I smiled. She looked at me as if not convinced of what I was telling her.

"Dianne, one second. Are you sure there will be no feelings involved here? I mean, looking at Andrew, any woman can fall in love with him." She explained. I smirked as I looked at her. I held my chin up as I smiled. He wished. I know, things are not the same anymore. I could feel that he's head over heels with me this time.

"Well, what do you think of me? That random kind of woman? I am Dianne Swiss, Kylie. You know it."

"Of course. My most successful best friend of all time. A multi-billionaire and a business tycoon. Who wouldn't know you?"

"He will fall into me, fast and I promise you, it will be the most painful and regretted moment of his life."

I invited Andrew inside of my other condominium. We had a lot of client meetings. He's by my side most of the time. We meet clients, discuss ideas and most of the time, sex to almost all of the corners of my unit. He gave me the most thrilling experiences as we tried a lot of things we never had before. I never thought my sex life would never be this active.

I laid by his side without any clothes on, trailing my hands on his chest going down.

"You're learning fast, madam."

"Well, my lawyer is also my best teacher. What will you teach me today?" I looked at his lips and I'm a bit surprised when he planted a smack on my lips. I giggled like a child as he kissed my most sensitive part: my breasts. I held his hand, trying to stop him but it made him feel wanting me even more.

I never counted the number of times we had sex o ver and over again. It made me wonder if he's also doing this to my stepdaughter Priya last time.This time I want to know which one who was the best when it comes to bed.

I went home to the villa during weekends. I decided to tell my mom about it. She looked at me with that familiar expression when I was still very young.

"Mom, do you think he'll do that?" I said between chuckles. "My father is the only one who does that."

"Dianne, I couldn't help but worry about you above all. What you're planning to do involves a lot of risks. What if the opposite will happen? What will you do? You know what? It is enough that I will only be the one who will experience it and not you."

"Mom, trust me. I am not playing a game if I know I'll be losing it. It is mine this time. Just give it to me."

"I will support you if it will make you feel better. I hope you will not be bargaining it with your heart and your feelings."

"I will remember that, mom." She hugged me as I caressed her back. I know mom only wished the best for me and nothing else.

After four months of courtship, I accepted Andrew's proposal. I am his fiancee now and it made Priya mad even more. That made her my unexpected guest one day while I am inside the villa visiting my family.

"What do we have here? You're like a fly. Are you not getting tired of following me wherever I go?"

"I am here to get what I own." She sternly said. As I looked at her from head to toe, she looked drunk and it is still ten in the morning. I folded my arms as I stood in front of her. If she thinks she could overpower me this time, he's totally wrong.

"You own nothing here, Priya. You may leave now before I forget for a while that you're my stepdaughter and I will report you to the police."

She laughed in front of me in a mocking tone. As I looked into her eyes, I can see the sadness that she might be suppressing for so long. That shrill laugh turned into wailing and I can see the tears in her eyes as she continued to laugh like a madman.

"I cannot imagine what is happening right now. This whore in front of me got married to my father. It so happened that this gold-digger killed my father and then after that, she'll get married to my boyfriend. So,my boyfriend will become my stepfather, too? This world is really fucked up!" She cried and laughed at the same time. Good thing we're inside my mini-conference room.

"Boyfriend? Andrew made it clear to me that you broke up with him many years ago. Can't you get over him?"

"How could you do this to me?" She is wailing like a crazy woman. Looking at her, I am not understanding what has gotten into her mind that she's doing it to herself.

I wanted to talk to her inside because it is sound-proof. Even if she will curse me to her heart's content, she will not be heard by my mom, sisters and even Walter.

"Well my dearest stepdaughter, sometimes that's how things are done. All you need to do is to accept your defeat."

"Fuck you! You should go to hell!"

"I'd be glad if you'll go first." I said as I smirked. It made her mad even more.

"Don't you have money left for consulting a psychiatrist? I think you needed one." She looked at me as her eyeliner started to smudge off her face. She looked like a real monster, honestly speaking.

"You're being too much. Do you think you'll easily get over this one? I don't think you do. You will not always be on top. The world will always be round, Deandra."

"Of course. I am fully aware that the world is round. However, I am stepping on top of the world that you mean. Sorry, you have to accept it."
