A Fateful Chance — Chapter 47: FAT LIAR

She looked at Walter who was sleeping soundly on her bed in the villa. She filed a leave telling him that she'll be spending her time abroad.

Andrew proposed to her not knowing her own family members or she'll be doomed forever. She never told him pretty much about her. For Deandra, Andrew knew her being one of the sought-after fashion designers and businesswomen of all time. Most elite people never share much of their information on the news for security purposes.

He understood her for that. However, Deandra, who is known as Dianne Swiss never wanted him to meet her sisters and even her mom. She doesn't want to reveal the truth yet, although she could, any time. She doesn't have the courage to tell him everything. She felt waiting for him all of her life within those years and yet there's no Andrew to arrive and take care of her.

It eventually gave way to Khalid Reike, her former husband who gave her lost trust and hope back to her. He helped her in moving on by pressing forward and accepted challenges to overcome and not to cry over with.

That's why when her former husband, Khalid Reike died, she realized that he has been an important part of her life that she should keep in her heart forever.

The wedding took place inside a garden full of flowers in their full bloom. It was a simple wedding, attended mostly by Dianne's drivers and personal maids. They disguised themselves as relatives and her parents. While Andrew's kin were also there, kissing her on both cheeks. They were indeed supportive because they knew that she is a business tycoon and a popular fashion designer.

"Thank you for making my dreams come true. I love you, Dianne Swiss Scethe."

She just looked at him in the eyes, trying to prove if what he's saying is real. She doesn't want to answer him with answers that I am not even sure of. Upon hearing those words from him, she is more of doubting rather than believing him this time.

They spent their honeymoon in Dianne's suite again. She kept everything lowkey. She doesn't want the media to highlight her wedding to celebrity headlines. Too much media exposure could be toxic as hell.

"You know what? I still can't believe you are mine now." I hugged him and I can feel his heart racing fast. So this is his feeling of being in love? How impressive. I want to believe it is real. How ironic, he's the one who's so in love with me this time. I can't help but to celebrate deep inside. If only I could forget everything that he did to me, I will believe that he indeed loved me so much. I know he is just saying this things because I am a well-known tycoon.

"I hope so. Thank you for your love." I smiled. I gasped as he pulled me closer to her this time.

"Of course. You are not hard to love, Sweetheart."

Two months had passed. They're only enjoying each other's company without anyone distracting them. If Dianne is leaving the suite, Andrew is not doubting her because he knew that it is purely business meetings and conferences.

However, there are times she feel like taking his revenge in the easiest way for her to do this time. What would Andrew feel if she will hang out with other guys greater than him? She badly wanted to know his reaction and on how she will respond if she will do it in front of him. She wanted to try to hang out by herself. She wore a red backless, satin gown that reached both her feet. It had a long slit that showed her long legs.

Because it's the dinner gala, a lot of her guy colleagues danced with her, most of them were bachelors and they were all good-looking.

"Congratulations on your wedding, sweetie." Richard Greene softly whispered in his ear while caressing her bare back. She smiled back as she put her arms around his shoulders.

"Thank you, dear."

"But not a great thing, though. Because you never accepted my proposal."

"Well, you're more suited to be my business partner for life." She pulled him close as she bit her lip while looking into his eyes.

"What a sweet babe. Don't look at me like that I might take you away from your husband and own you." She laughed as she hugged him even closer.

"Gosh, what a silly man."

"I'm serious, though. You're gorgeous Dianne. You looked perfect." He whispered near her left ear. She can't help but smile because of the compliment she received from a random man at that party.

Deandra didn't know that someone was taking pictures of her and her male colleague while they were enjoying each other's company on the dance floor.

"Long time, no see, babe." Priya straightened the way she sat on the table she reserved for two. As soon as she saw him, her eyes glistened. She admits she missed him damned much.

On the other hand, Andrew looked at her, uninterested at all. He looked impatient and he was able to take a glance at his watch. Priya looked at him in the eyes while smiling. While him? He's simply not in the mood when it comes to her.

"I have no time for this, Priya. You know it already. I am busy." As soon as he sat down in front of her, he glanced at his watch. He couldn't even look at her like the way he looked at her before.

"After this conversation, you will have a lot to be thankful of."

"Please let's not waste each other's time. Tell me, what do you want?"

"Do you know your wife too well?" Priya smirked and that made him meet her gaze. From what she told him, he suddenly had doubts on his wife.

He admits he knew Priya more than Dianne.

"What do you mean?" He said as he gave her a puzzled look.

"I got something very interesting inside my bag that I know you would want to see."

"Don't be ridiculous, Priya. I am not here to play games."

"What do you think of me, doing the same? I will not spend time for something that's worthless."

"Let's go straight to the point. What is this all about?" He looked frustrated as he gazed the way Priya grinned in front of him.

She never avoided his gaze as she opened her handbag and put the pictures she got on the table.

"Here." He looked at her facial expression as he looked at the pictures she had taken. There's a lot of shots where Dianne is hugging another guy while happily smiling with him. It's like everything they are talking about is very intimate. He could also see some shots where the guy she's dancing of is placing his hands on her bare back.

He secretly clenched his left fist under the table while holding some pictures from the other one. Wow, he wanted to believe that this one isn't real. How could his wife do this to him? She acted as if she's single and she's definitely ready to mingle to anyone, especially the bachelors who were present at the party.

When is this? He never remembered Dianne telling him about parties or galas she would attend...and why is it that he's not even with her even if he's her husband? Is this really Dianne whom Priya is showing to him right now?

"Well...what can you say?" Priya is grinning from ear to ear. Upon looking at Andrew's reaction, she wanted to believe that she had convinced him of what she wanted to tell him about.

"When is this?"

"I was invited to the dinner gala tonight. Don't tell me she didn't tell you about this one?"

It made Andrew speechless. How could Dianne do this to him? Is she really treating him to be her husband?

"It so happened that my stepmom was also there. Sorry, I informed you this one. I was just concerned about you because she's planning to hide this one from you, you know." She smiled as she saw the shock on his face.

"Stepmother? How could she become your stepmother even if you're almost at the same age?"

"Gosh, so, that's how bad she is? She doesn't tell you about everything that's happening in her life before she met you? Wow."

"You're crazy, Priya. I don't know what you're talking about."

"Of course. She really intended not to tell you all these things forever. However, you know me. I am the greatest spoiler of all time."

"I can't believe I am hearing all of these things."

"Oh, wow! How foolish of you to have no idea of what's going on with your life? Look, she didn't even tell you about me and her former husband? Why are you getting married to someone you barely knew of?"

"Husband?"

"Wow, poor you. How foolish can you become? Are you even a lawyer for acting that way?"

"Priya, tell me what you know of." He said as if desperate to know everything she's been keeping from him. That made her convince him to stay with her. They talked more about Dianne and on how she got married to her father, who was her former husband. It made him secretly close his fist. Something isn't right this time.
