Chapter 57: RUNNING FROM WHERE YOU ARE
Read online · About 5 minutesShe held the steering wheel while her hands were already shaking. She glanced at Walter that is napping right now. She could see the tears running on his cheeks while he's closing his eyes.
She couldn't remember how long she's been trying to convince the child to shut up. Every time Walter cries, she becomes anxious even more. They've been driving around in circles too. Honestly, she doesn't know what to do right after she came up with the decision of kidnapping Walter. She even turned off her phone so that nobody could ever locate where they are right now.
She sighed. There's definitely no turning back. She will send Walter away from Dianne. She smirked about the idea of Dianne being miserable. She's getting thrilled because Dianne will finally feel what she's been troubling all this time. Losing everything she loves. Her ex-boyfriend Andrew, her fame and identity, her possible inheritance. These were the facts that made her feel insane right at this moment.
She knows that if Walter is away from Dianne, it will break her heart. The way she exactly wanted it the most. She badly wants revenge and she's excited that she's finally doing it right now.
Where could she go with Walter right now? She looked around until she pulled the car right through the driveway going to a carpark beside the train station.
"Wake up, Walter." She shook Walter in a rough way that he woke up crying again.
"Will you shut up? You're too loud I can't even think straight!" She said as she hit the child on his arm with her bare hands. It left a red palm mark on his arm. He cried even more as he opened his mouth. It was too loud that Priya put both of her hands on both her ears.
"Keep quiet, okay! I will really hurt your mother if you're not going to shut your mouth!" She almost shouted that it somehow made Walter's sobs subside. He looked at her with pleading eyes as he cried softly this time.
"Auntie...please, don't hurt my mommy." He said between sobs. She frowned as she got the facemasks on the mini-compartment of her car.
"Okay. That's it. Behave or else I will hurt your mom. Wear this." She shoved the facemask on his lap as she wore hers. Walter took the facemask and looked at Priya. He's like observing her on how to do it. His hands were almost shaking as he tried to follow Priya.
"Ahh,don't be stupid! I will do it for you." She snatched the facemask off his hands in a harsh manner. She put the facemask on both of his ears. She did it tight that Walter put both of his hands on his face to adjust the facemask. It is for their disguise. Priya didn't want somebody to know them. She didn't mind checking how he did it this time. She didn't care at all, anyway. She puts on her black sunglasses, too. She looked at Walter who is really terrified right now.
She opened the car and pulled Walter out by his arm that he almost shrieked in pain.
"Auntie, you're bad. I don't want to come with you! Let me go!" Walter tried to shake his hands off Priya's grip. She bends down to him and whispers in his ear…
"If you're not going to follow what I am telling you to do, you will never see your mom again!" As soon as Walter heard it, he suppressed a soft cry and nodded.
She smirked as she held his hand again, tightening her grip. Walter is obviously in pain because of what she's doing to him.
"Ma'am, please remove your masks and sunglasses for strict security compliance." She looked at the two bulky security guards on duty. She also gazed around her and there were nobody else except from them.
"We're in a hurry, okay? Besides, the train is already there. Why don't you guys let us pass?"
"Ma'am, we're sorry but this is a part of our protocols. Everybody is following it. Please follow the rules. Besides, it will not take that long.
"We're really in a hurry. Besides, this child is sick. Please?"
"Ma'am, we're sorry but you have to follow the rules. I know you're already aware of that, right?" She saw one of the security guards even pointed at the signage indicating strict inspection in that particular area of the train station.
She tightened Walter's grip and tried to run past the security guards.
"Hey miss! Stop right there!" They started chasing her this time as one bodyguard held his radio phone giving instructions to the other guards on duty within the station's vicinity.
She ran as fast as she could but the cops were faster than her. It also happened that one security guard cornered her as they turned left. There were two guards behind her while the other one was right in front of her.
"Please let us go. I will pay all of you. How much do you want?"
"Ma'am, you already violated some rules. Please don't add up to what you have done."
"Can't you hear me? I can pay all of your life's worth! Just let us go!" The security guards noticed Walter as he cried loudly this time.
"Sir, she's bad. She's bad!" Walter said as he pointed his finger to Priya between sobs.
The securities held her arms and put it on her back. They put handcuffs around both of her hands.
"Let me go! I will sue all of you for treating me this way! All of you! Don't you know me? Huh?" The two guards tried to talk to her in a calm way but she refused and became hysterical even more. Her voice was too loud, it caught the attention of most passengers. The security guards were forced to drag her away.
"Come here, baby boy. I will tell your mom to come here to get you, alright?" He looked at the security guard's eyes as he blinked. Hearing those words made him stop crying. He hugged the security guard as he carried him in his arms until he fell asleep.
