Chapter 30 Mommy knows everything**
Read online · About 5 minutesThe winds were way too harsh today, the dust rushed along with the winds and hit Amara's face while she dragged her luggage with herself after she got down from the bus. The journey was long, it took seven hours for her to reach her city from the college, the early morning breeze was cool yet bone chilling.
Amara cleansed her face with the back of her palm, suddenly the environment fell so drastically. She pulled the stripe of her hand bag near her chest as her eyes met with the big villa across her. It was her house!
Three story big, plush villa with a fountain across the entrance standing gloriously in the light of the sun. The sun just rose. Amara bit her lower lip as the guard standing before the gates of her house amusingly stood up from the chair that he was sitting in and forced a smile at her. "Amara ma'am? You are here!" he exclaimed.
However, his lips sealed together as he noticed her worn out face. She looked pale and even her eyes were puffy. "I want to go inside, please open the gates" this was the daughter of the city's well known businessman who was hesitating whilst talking to the security guard of her house.
Her eyes looked down at the ground while guard quickly opened the door for her, Amara thankfully forced a smile at him and pulled her luggage past by the fountain and inside the door of her house that was opened by the servant. "Ohh miss Rebello, such a lovely start of the morning!" it was a woman in her mid forties. She smiled pulling Amara's bag from her shoulder and taking it in her arms.
Much to her surprise Amara was in no mood to talk to her. She was still in tears and the way she avoided looking at her, the maid pressed her lips together and sighed. "Your parents are asleep, do you want me wake them up?" she asked while her legs initiated their walk to the opposite way.
"Oh no, please don't wake them up. I am tired, I will see them at the breakfast table" Amara quickly uttered while she climbed the stairs with the luggage in her arms.
The woman stood there in her spot gazing at Amara's walking figure confusingly, "She doesn't look fine!"

The breakfast was placed on the table, Mrs. Rebello removed the apron from around her waist and placed it on the counter of her kitchen. She amazingly saw her little boy sitting at the table and praying the lord for the breakfast. His eyes were closed and pink lips moving as he said the prayers slowly, "Miss Amara returned home in the early morning, madam. I wanted to tell you in the morning only, but she stopped me!" Mrs. Lucy the old woman who met Amara in the morning, spoke.
George, the little boy and Amara younger brother immediately opened his eyes, he stared his mother then at the old woman before he let of a joyous sequel. He hopped down his seat and ran upstairs while shouting for his sister's name, "Amaraaaaaa... Amaraaa" Mrs. Rebello smiled seeing him behave so excitedly.
However, she looked back at the old lady with quizzical expressions, "She came in the morning! But her results will be announced the next week." she said aloud following the way as that of her son up the stairs.

Amara was lying on the bed on her stomach, her both palms rested under her chin while she cried drastically. Her eyes have swollen up and nose looking red like crimson. The words spoke by Perry was still fresh in her mind. She could not pull it out of her thoughts.
Her way of speaking was harsh and rude. What was she trying to imply... That Amara was a characterless girl!
She cried more thinking more about it.
"Amaraaaa!" she gulped her tears as her brother barged in her room looking extremely happy. He jumped on her bed and hugged her sleeping body tightly. "I missed you! I sooo missed you, sister." he kissed her cheek, he had still not noticed her crying eyes. "Why don't you stay here with us, I miss you so much" George lied down next to her such that their faces were facing each other.
His eyes left widened in shock when he witnessed his sister's flushed red face. "Have you been crying?" lines of annoyance flashed on his forehead, he was amazed seeing her cry.
Shouldn't she be happy that she came home after six months!
Then what was making her cry like that!
George sat on his knees as he saw his elder sister looking away and wiping her tears. "No, who told you that I am crying!" Amara forced a smile.
She tried her best to look normal but her red face and her innocent eyes said different story. She sat across him with folded legs and tickled his waist. "Seems like someone missed me, hmm!" she remarked trying to make him laugh nevertheless five years old George was way too clever to fall in her traps.
He did not laugh over her efforts but held her wrists. George narrowed his eyes as his fingers touched her cheek. He rubbed his thumb and fingers together to sense that the tips of his fingers have become wet with her tears. "You were crying, why? Did someone... Hurt you, Amara?" he was a kid but way too clever for someone of his age.
"Nope, not at all. I am not crying." she smiled wearing her specs however George snatched away her spectacles and made a crying face.
"Don't lie, I know you are crying. Did someone bully you in the college." He said between his voice, his face looking flushed with annoyance.
George was opposite of Amara. If she was calm and sweet than this little dude was rough and rude. He defended his sister whenever he found her in situations that she can't handle. And right now, the way she was acting, it was clear that she was bothered by something.
"oh yeah, I was crying because I came home after a long time. I missed you soo much, Georgie!" Amara took him in her lap and kissed his cheeks one by one.
Here, George melted and let his lips break into a smile of happiness. "Oh really! I missed you too. We all missed you. Now I am not letting you go again, I feel lonely without you Amara." George encircled his arms around her neck and kissed her cheek.
Soon the siblings lost themselves in each other's company while there, at the doorstep, their mommy, Mrs. Rebello smiled seeing their love. "Something is really bothering you, my baby. You didn't tell George but I will pull that out from your heart." Mrs. Rebello spoke to herself.
Indeed, mothers understand their children's dilemma even if they are don't say it.
