Falling in Love Was Not the Plan — Chapter 15

When the afternoon turned into evening Amara and Alex could not keep a track of time. The stay in each other's arms was strange but very much strong. They held each with a little awkwardness it yet felt so good and satisfying. Amara would stroke his hair while he snuggled her stomach from above the top.

They were so engrossed in each other that even the wrong thing seemed very much right. It was at 7.45 pm when her alarm rang hence breaking their trance. Alex suddenly pull himself back, he stared her confusingly. "Uh that was my alarm for evening walk." He heard her wisely whilst looking at the window.

There were now the expressions of utmost realization. He was late but active enough to understand what just happened between the two of them. "I think I should leave now!" If she could request him to stay then surely Amara had not minded doing that however, he was not her anything.

Neither were they a couple nor best friends then let alone the thought of asking him to stay! Amara straightened her clothes before getting up. She followed him till the door and held it open so that he can take a leave. "Amara umm, don't... Uh, don't mind my abrupt visit." He difficultly chipped forcing a dry smile on his lips. "I hope you can understand my dilemma. It's just that i could not think of anything else at that moment and just landed here at your place. Sorry... If I bothered you!" He said.

Not like a shock but any ways it shook Amara to the core. Well yeah, she was warned beforehand to not develop any feelings for him. However, the hours spent today with him in his arms felt so precious and indescribable that for sometime she literally forgot they were no one more than study partners to each other.

She closed the door as he left with a smile. Alex could not comprehend what kind of feelings were rushing through his body. He felt good for spending time with her and on the contrary he felt real bad for having told that to her. "Fuck Alex! Stop that." He reminded himself what Martin has said and so hit his skull sheepishly.

No matter how astounding it whilst spending time with her she was somebody he can't keep staying as a couple with— she was clumsy! Forget that, she was in fact the most undesirable girl in the campus just because of her clothing and big fat specs.

It was though not hidden from anyone in the college that she was the daughter of one of the well known businessperson in the country, Amara was disliked by the college notwithstanding.

Never mind, his speed was faster than his normal pace. Alex forgot that he dared entering the girls hostel and now it was even the evening. The warden would kill him if he is caught by her. "Fuck you Alex! You are a stupid ass bitch... Gosh..." he cursed his own self.

The corridors were silent and empty as it was almost the time of locking the doors. The warden would be coming to take a look around the hostel and the girls whether they were off to bed or not. He looked everywhere— to the left, to the right, in the back and in the front walking fast towards the exit.

There was also a watchman guarding at the door, but he was not a problem though. Alex had already made a deal with him long time ago but the main problem was the goddamn warden. Although she never caught him she still knew he comes every now and again to see different girls in the place.

His face brightly glowed in the blurry lights of the corridors when Alex was half way to the exit. Where Amara lived was though a room located in quiet isolation. So the journey from there till now was okay ish. The main problem was the foyer to be crossed to reach the exit.

On hiding behind a wall Alex moved his eyes in three sixty degrees making sure that there was no warden around. He but the dry skin of his lips eyeing on every corner. Who knows where the detective warden could be? He raised his brows looking all ready to take a run to the door.

With a deep sigh he sprinted towards the door. He also clutched his eyes tight not wanting to spot the warden even if she was around or not. He was hardly few steps away from the exit when unfortunately he bumped into someone and fell back while the other person cursed him angrily, "Freaking nuts!!!! Dickhead!!!"

The voice that sounded familiar forced him to open his eyelids and stare at the clumsily dressed Chloe staring her hard as she also rubbed her forearm. She was grunting in the beginning nevertheless as soon as her gaze fell on the equally familiar tall figure of the guy before her, she blinked her eyes. "What are YOU doing here?" Sounding baffled, Chloe enquired.

The heat rising within her eyes transformed them into the burning balls of fire. Her face grew red when she joined all the dots together. Alex did not have to say why was he here as it was now a popular topic for gossip in the campus already.

'Alex caught his girlfriend cheating on him with their professor in the staffroom!'

The new was flaring everywhere in the college. "I came to see Amara." Alex fumbled, he noticed the disgust growing in her eyes towards him.

"At this time of evening? Aren't you terrified of our warden." Chloe raised one of her eyebrows.

It was awkward as it could be. The two of them were facing each other after a long time, even though staying in the same place for about two years. And facing each other as Ex doesn't feel so good. "Nope. I mean yeah I am obviously terrified of her but I didn't come now... I have been here since the afternoon!" it was a another shocking moment in the line.

Chloe looked away as she perfectly connected another dot in the queue. So after learning about his girlfriend's cheat he came here to see innocent Amara— or say, to use her in his tough time! He was here in her hostel room with her room mate and there— all have been wondering about his current location.

On twitching her lips disgustingly Chloe took a view of the surrounding before she pulled Alex behind a wall. She stood before him holding his collars. She pulled him close such that their lips were quite close but away for a kiss. "Alex, don't play with her. We both know she is not that type of chick." Chloe dangerously whispered near his lips.

On the other hand Alex petrifyingly shrunk his eyes not understanding even one percent of her words. "What do you mean?" He sounded hoarse.

"You know what I mean, Alex. If this is another game of yours then I'd request... Please stop it. Amara will be heart broken." Now she came directly to the point.

He was not only a player as a professional, but he was also a player as a person. His list of break ups was bigger than his list of achievements. None was unaware of his skills of seduction but Amara. "Understand it now only Ragnar or else— it won't take long for me to make it public and you know that no one in the campus would appreciate you. No one would like to know that 'Alex Ragnar was hitting on an unworthy girl!' Better understand it now." It was not the correct way to shove it in his head, Chloe used those words anyway.

She was correct, though Alex. Nevertheless, it came out like an accuse. He literally pushed her in the opposite direction as if she was a non-living thing while he grumbled, "Oh please! I have much better option than your stupid freaking Nerdy room mate—Amara Rebello." He bragged.

The kind of glares he threw on her depicted his devilish side. Chloe curled her fingers into fists as it was a new avatar of him that she saw today. She tried to make a move, but he caught a hold of her arm earlier than she can execute her thoughts. He pulled her close... So close that their lips brushed aggressively against each other.

She wriggled in his arms unfortunately there was no getting out. "And to tell you a secret.... You are kind of right." He kissed her lips disgusting her in every way he could. "I am indeed using her! Once I am through with the exams I will throw her out of my life. You want to know how... Just keep watching us." With that Alex pushed her on the floor and walked shamelessly passed by the warden who appeared on his way and was glaring him now.

"You... I told you I will catch you red handed, you shameless guy." She chided him, but he just simply ignored her like she was ever there and walked out of the main door unaware of the person who heard and noticed his every word and move closely.
