Are you baffled— on seeing me.

His head rested on her collarbone and fingers clutching the fabric of her one piece. His looked so weak that kiara felt hard to breathe. She clutched the table behind her back taking its support. On the other side, Payton awkwardly saw the two women simultaneously in surprise.

His heart pumped in ache seeing Kiara’s condition. He wished to provide her comfort and console her notwithstanding he himself could not stand Billy’s weak occurrence. He was described in indescribable words by her to Payton but the way he was seeing Billy now, he was confused whether to believe her words she said earlier or believe how he physically looked like!

The surrounding blurred. What Kiara could concentrate on was only Billy. She yearned to see him in all these days, her heart ached to feel him, her hands itched to caress his cheeks, her motherly emotions craved to see him smile again henceforth make everything lively with his fascination.

“Give me a moment, I will go and give these papers to ma’am, till then please wait. We are going to have a long meeting regarding the contract.” They heard the tall guy chip. He has taken the papers back in his hands and for now, he was preparing himself to go back to his boss (Shania) and show them to her.

Kiara turned her head away quickly wiping away her tears. She thanked her stars that Billy’s face was not visible otherwise she would have lost to her heart and ended up crying profusely over his state. “Are you okay!” She nodded her head in yes pretending as if it did not affect her at all when Payton asked. “If you say then we can go back. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.” Payton asked her.

She did not look okay, her face described her dilemma yet when she again nodded her skull negatively he cannot stop himself from sighing. “Just focus on your deal Payton, this is my problem, not yours. You should not be compromising for me.” He looked down biting his lips.

Yeah, the deal was important for him. He has been waiting for this day to come even before she has come to stay with him in his house however it was not as important as her. He can reject such deals a thousand times for her. The loss in business will not be as much severe as losing her. Her happiness matters him more.

The two of them stood there incredulously watching Shania walk in a passage to her right after glancing at the papers. The tall guy whispered something in her ear after which she directly walked away from there not even looking anywhere in the surrounding but her front.

What surprised them more was her attention that was limited only to Billy. Her one arm protectively held him close while the other one was over his head that fitted in her palm. She also pecked his hair stroking them affectionately. It was unbelievable.

From what she has heard and saw about Shania, she was not very fond of her kids. That was why she even killed her daughter Kiara, all the same as thoroughly she took care of him, it nowhere looked like she wanted to kill him too— as described by Raven. In fact, what she saw was damn opposite of whatever was described to her.

And somewhere she felt jealous of her. Jealous of seeing Billy silently curled up in her arms as if he was fond of her! His lenient appearance made her feel no good. ‘May be he is getting habitual to her. He has to now stay with her forever.' Kiara thought sighing deeply.

May be this was life, unexpected and a bitch!!!

The aggression of Payton’s face was worth a watch. His clenched teeth proved he was in no mood to take jokes. “I am telling you Kiara let’s just go now. I don’t want to wait for her any more. Bloody bitch!” He was shushed by Kiara when he abused her irritatingly.

Well what else do you expect a man to do when he is made to wait for an hour uselessly. The meeting that was supposed to be wrapped up in the afternoon only was dragged further to the approaching evening. It was 5.00 pm now. And it was irking him.

“I know why she is doing this.” He neutrally watched her face as she continued, “She must have seen me with you and to show her power, she is doing this. She wants me to see her authority.” Perhaps it was right for after a few minutes the tall guy had come to see them again to ask for more details regarding Payton’s company’s information.

As though it was not known at all!!!

His company was under top five and a leasing company for producing racing cars, no wonder why she would have asked for more information. Simple, because she wanted to see them struggle.

Another fifteen minutes passed and now Payton was adamant to leave when abruptly, “Uhh sir, we are sorry to make you wait but ma’am was busy with her son. He is a pain in the ass, bloody brat!” Kiara held her heart however her nerves warmed up listening him call Billy a brat and ass pain!

Payton maintained a straight face as he was curious to know what was that. He though annoyingly stared him for calling his Boss’s child a brat but the excitement took over him that he ceased himself from shoving anything to the guy. “I was coming to call you right after ma’am entered the private lounge for the meeting but that stubborn kid of her started crying loudly screaming ‘mamma’ ‘mamma’ I don’t know how ma’am handles him!” the moment he finished, it became more difficult for Kiara to cope up with the situation.

This guy did not understand why he was crying, she very well knows it though. “Any ways please follow me. Ma’am is waiting for you.” They walked behind him while he guided them from one corridor to other.

The private lounge didn’t seem to approach soon! Payton saw her face from the corner of his eyes. She seemingly feigned to be okay, yet he can sense she was having a hard time through this moment. His gaze was broken when he heeded the sound of the door lock unlatching.

There Shania stood across the floor the top window, lost in her phone as the tall guy guided them inside of a lavish room. It was neither a suite nor a normal room for visitors to sit but something extravagant. The room was big in size, bigger than the room she was currently staying in. The walls were painted with matte paint while the paintings hanging on the wall showed how overpriced it was!

But on a serious note, that didn’t appeal her much. What astounded her was— Billy’s non-existence in the room.

Shania was still lost when they entered the room and took a seat on the couch. Kiara sceptically read her physical appearance while accepting the glass of water that was offered to her by an amazingly dressed garcon smiling to her.

“Okay sure, I have already dispatched the contract papers to you, just update me once you get them. Hmm, okay then. See you tomorrow at the party. Bye.” Hanging the call, Shania shot a glance out at the setting sun.

The orange sun rays kissed her face abundantly. There were dark circle below her eyes that she happened to hide using heavy make yet it came out visibly adamant of her skin.”So good to have you here Payton!” She drank in some air filling her lungs before turning around.

“I never thought we will meet like profess—” the word stayed unfinished when her gaze fell on the couch with eye balls exploding out of their chambers.
