Days were passing in a jiffy. And with the passing time Billy’s attachment toward Kiara grew more. He became her obedient son who behaved himself only on her insistence. Ate food only when she sat with him by taking him in her lap and stuffing his little mouth with food with her hands. He slept only on her chest being lulled with love and read stories.

All in all she has become an obsession of his life. An obsession that was giving him immense comfort and happiness. “Mu-mmmy!” He slurred kicking his legs in the air while laying on the floor on the back. Kiara was busy keeping his tiny clothes in the cupboard and there he was whining just because she was not taking him in her arms.

Billy flipped on his stomach. He rose from the floor on his elbow staring her longingly as she folded his another few shirts those were supposed to be kept alone since they were to be washed again due to the stains it had on them. All thanks to his new habit… A new game he explored a week back. He would frequently go out in the garden to play with mud and little insects under the security of the two officer appointed and so dirtying his clothes as badly as he can.

“What do you want baby? I am working, go and play with your toys.” It was said in order to distract his mind as there were more chores lined up to work on however, it only annoyed him more. Billy fell on the floor again with thud thus crying loudly with tears. “Billy!” Kiara sighed watching him cry as loud as he can.

There was nothing she could do rather than leaving all the work aside and pulling him up from the floor. As soon as she picked him up, he stuck to her chest hugging her tight as if she would go away if he won’t hold on her tight. He sniffed near her throat while his tears moistened her skin.

He never cried unless he was not disturbed or sleepy. Today, Uhh his reason for crying in her arms was different. Kiara blinked her lashes only to see how he sobbed in her embrace. Something was disturbing him.What? Only Kiara knew. She smiled serenely looking away. He was a kid who didn’t have any brains to think anything as to what was going around. But he just felt something that was going to happen real soon to him.

May be he feared to accept it and that was why he held her as if she was his precious fortune. Kiara hugged him close resting her chin on his head. By that act of hers, he seemed to have stopped crying still his sobs were audible. “Why are you so upset today?” She said in the air walking toward their balcony.

Mrs. Carter was down there cooking something special. Girard has made a wish to eat her handmade Curry in the morning on breakfast table. And here, Kiara was putting Billy’s clothes in the cupboard but no, her little soldier was not in the mood to let her do so.

He was sleepy. The way he snuggled her neck while clutching her collar tight she could sense he was as usually whining just because he was sleepy, and wanted to sleep. For that, he needed his mother’s embrace to sleep in. She grinned noticing how he sucked on her skin of the cleavage as though he was sucking a nipple. She closely read his every movement.

“Hey!” Kiara turned her head a little to the west. Her husband was back from his hefty work and now snaking his arms around her waist while kissing her neck. “Don’t spoil his habits Kiara, or he’d always want your embrace to sleep in. He is a bit more stubborn than me you see.” He said rubbing his palm on his back adoring The Mother and The Son’s unique bond.

Raven can’t thank her enough for the favour she did on him— on them. She handled his home very well. “Kiara, there is last hearing on the Custody Case Next Friday in the high court at 2.00 pm.” She held Billy close. There was so much she was fidgeting with in the mind and now, the most complicated situation. “The lawyer wants you to be present there with us. You are required to be there in the court as it will show how much you and Billy are close to each other. And that you are his ideal mother who can keep him safe and wean him properly unlike Shania. The guards will speak in our interest too.” She caressed Billy’s hair while walking inside the room.

The winds were getting faster and harsher. May be a strong rainstorm was on its way to occur just like the one that was approaching their lives. “ Close the doors Raven.” She asserted sitting on the bed with Billy still in her arms sleeping peacefully.

Kiara pulled her legs up on the bed sitting with them stretched out in her front while she stroked the sleeping Billy’s back. “After the hearing we will move in our abode with Billy. I can’t tell you Kiara how happy I am. It is all because of you that I can take my baby to the house I made for him— for us, for our family.” Raven smiled brightly putting his white teeth on show.

His gleaming eyes conveyed his excitement. Just few more days and then it will be all back to how he had wished his life to be. The way he blabbered talking about the things he has planned to do after Billy’s custody is passed on to them, made her smile sadly.

“And you know what Kiara, we will also go to Armenia for family holiday. There is this woman who Girard was mad for, they were in relationship but you know how he is, she left him because of that. But you and I will bring them together, and We will go on couples date together. It will be fun.” He squealed in joy sharing everything he was going to do right after the Friday night.

Albeit, he was just making castles of happiness in the air which has no reality at all!

Any ways, after seeing to it that Billy was perfectly into the blanket with a line of pillow kept around him like a barricade, so he doesn’t fall, Kiara descended the stairs joining the Carters on the dinner table. Raven was there already, all freshened up and looking yummy in his black tee and grey trousers.

What made her stare him more was his wet dripping hairs that shone in the light. “Has he eaten anything before sleeping Kiara?” Mr. Carter was talking to Kiara, but she was too busy checking him out that she totally forgot there were people around. “Kiara!” Chipping her name a bit loudly this time Mr. Carter coughed a little glaring in his place while the lovey dovey couple looked away in embarrassment, Kiara especially.

“Uhh, mom pass me the bowl of rice please.” Raven smirked as she sat next to him biting her tongue awkwardly.

Why she have to be soo fucking stupid like that!
