Chapter 21
Read online · About 5 minutesLydia's POV
We come back to Blake's home after shopping. I was really really tired. I was currently laying on the guest room's bed after a long shower. All of my belongings were here for a while.
I mind drifted back to the stunt Blake pulled at the door. It was just a kind of peck. After he pulled away, the look on the girl's face was priceless.
His stunt actually warmed my heart a little. It was really cute of him to do that. I sighed and smiled. Blake is being so good with me.
It is making me fall for him, hard. I sighed. A month ago, we both acted like strangers to eachother. I bit my lip as i thought of all the childhood memories we had.
Blake was my fre-nemy. But when he suddenly stopped sleaking with me, i kind of did miss him. I heard a knock on the door which brought me out of my thoughts.
"Come in!" I yelled and Blake opened the door and came in, shirtless, looking hot than ever. My eyes went to his abs as he closed the door.
I wonder how his body is so well defined even when he eats junk, more than me. "Hey princess. By the way my eyes are up here." He teased and i looked at his face while i knew i blushed.
"I look better than you. Don't flatter yourself." I said and playfully rolled my eyes as he came and laid next to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and nuzzled his face in my neck.
"What were you thinking about?" He asked me and i shivered feeling his breath ticklish on my bare neck.
"I was thinking about the small us. We were so fre-nemish back then, if thats even a word." I said and he chuckled, pulling away to look at me.
I had turned, facing him. His eyes were so beautiful. "It was always fun calling you barbie." He said and his eyes twinkled with amusement.
I rolled my eyes playfully at him. "Ofcourse. How could we forget that?" I said and he laughed at me. "By the way, why did you stop speaking to me as we grew up?" I asked and he froze.
Like literally.
I kept a hand on his chest. "Did i ask something wrong?" I asked him and he snapped out of his trance and gave me a sweet smile.
"That is a story for another time. You tell me yours first." He said and i nodded. I trust him enough to open up about the whole situation that happened with me and Julia when we were 8.
"I dont really know if your parents have mentioned this before. When me and Julia were 8, we went to a market to buy somethings with mom. You know how much Julia loved chocolates, so we decided that it wont be a problem if go to a shop where a women was selling home made chocolates." I said and smiled as i remembered the love for chocolate that Julia has.
"So we went and got lost on our way. The women had given us chocolates and Julia went to call mom to get the money. Julia came back without mom. She said that mom wasnt on the counter anymore.
We were terrified and the feeling was worst. We had waited for many hours with the women on the shop until she left us at a bus stand because she had to get back to her home. We both stood there until a man came and took us with him saying that he is going to help us.
But he did the opposite. He claimed that he had adopted us and made us run errands for him, his wife and their son. When we refused, he used to slap us." I said as my eyes welled up with unshed tears. Blake kissed my lips and tightened his grip around me as my tears fell.
"Me and Julia made a plan one day and ran away to a polive station nearby where we called our mom. And now we are here, happier than ever." I said and smiled at him.
He kissed my nose.
"Did that guy try to contact you in anyways?" He asked me and i shook my head 'no'. "Good. And you need to be more careful, princess." He said possessively.
I rolled my eyes playfully at him. "It was years ago Blake." I said. "I am serious. You never know what might happen." He said seriously and i nodded at him and kissed his cheek.
I was feeling hungry zo we both decided to head to the kitchen where thw maids were cooking. "Hey guys. What are we having for dinner tonight?" I asked them.
"We have made spaghetti tonight. We are serving soon, get seated in the dining room. " One of them said and we nodded and headed to the dining area.
Blake tdxted everyone to come downstairs for dinner.
"Does it ever bother you that Alessa is dating River?" I asked randomly. I mean every brother is protective towards their sister.
He looked up from his phone. "Very. But, i have known River since i dont know how long and i trust him. If incase he ever makes Alessa cry, i would not hesitate to kill him."
"Nice to know." We heard River's voice and Alessa's giggling as they entered the room along with Julia and Nathan. I laughed but Blake sat there seriously.
"Good." He said and River rolled his eyes at him. "Same goes for you Nate. "Blake said and Nate replied with a, "Yes sir!" while mocking a salute.
I rolled my eyes at them and the maids came in with the delicious spaghetti and i moaned due to the delicious aroma of the food while everyone laguhed at my behavior.
We ate the food in silence, everybody lost in their own thoughts until Alessa spoke up. "Me, Julia and Lydia are having a Netflix night tonight. Do not disturb us." She ordered the boys.
"Whatever. Lydia is not going anywhere." Blake said stubbornly.
"Just wait and watch." Alessa said and smirked.
And this my people called in for a war.
