Cold Showers — Chapter 91

Sebastian kissed her hand.

"I can't wait for Aaron to meet Ella. She will be his favourite and we will be his second-favourites I guess." Jayda said and they chuckled.

"My parents will pick him up on their way here," Sebastian said.

Soon enough, they were disturbed by Dr Davis who walked in with a female nurse behind her.

"How are my favourite patients doing?" She asked as she walked in. Jayda was done feeding Ella so Sebastian collected her to burp her.

"We are fine Doc!" Jayda replied with a smile.

"Morning Doc," Sebastian replied, gently patting Ariella's back.

Doctor Davis first approached Seb to take a glance at the beautiful baby.

"She's so beautiful." She gushed.

"Yes, Just like her mom," Sebastian said proudly.

"Congratulations!" She gave Sebastian a side hug before going over to Jayda who was in a seated position.

"Congratulations, my child." She hugged her.

"Thank you," Jayda replied sincerely.

"So, how are you?" Doctor Davis asked.

"A little sore down there but I'm fine." Jayda smiled.

"I went over you and Ariella's report and I'm happy you both are okay. One of the midwives also told me you did a good job in the labour room. She said you were amazing!"

Jayda blushed, "I had no doubt I did an amazing job. Thanks to his support." She pointed at Seb who was engrossed with Ariella.

Davis and the nurse did a quick check-up on Jayda and Ariella and everything seemed to be going well which was such a huge relief to Sebastian.

"I asked her if she would like to eat anything but she said she wasn't hungry. I don't know if I should believe that or not." Sebastian said, looking concerned.

He felt Jayda needed to eat something to regain her lost energy and again, she was breastfeeding Ariella which was almost the same at eating for two.

Doctor Davis turned her attention to Jayda."Are you hungry?"

"Not really." She answered truthfully. "Unless it's necessary for me to eat something but honestly I'm not hungry." She added.

Davis smiled."It's actually up to you if you want to eat or not. I don't want to impose too much on your body so I suggest you start with liquid food. You can have a little oatmeal now and perhaps when you get hungry later, you'll have whatever you want to."

Jayda was reluctant because she was afraid of hospital food even when she was on a VIP treat and anything could be made for her instantly. She was glad Sebastian came to her rescue.

"Thanks, Doc, I'll contact my Mom to come along with some oatmeal for her," Seb said, reaching out for his phone.

"Okay then, before I forget, you have a visitor."

"Wow." Jayda smiled, wondering who was so eager to see them when it was barely 8 am. She had a feeling it was no other than her best friend, Lilian.

"Please let them in," Jayda said excitedly.

"Okay dear, I'll check up on you later," Davis said before she and the nurse exited the ward.

Sebastian made his way over to Jayda. "Mom will be here soon with Aaron and your oatmeal."

"Thanks. Seeing that our daughter is healthy makes me full; I can't wait for everyone to meet her. But don't worry, I'll eat a little for your peace of mind." She assured. Sebastian kissed her lips.
