Cold Showers — Chapter 78

"Jayda, let go of me, I'm almost out of breath." Lilian chuckled as Jayda refused to release her from a bone-crushing hug.

"Let me hug you for thirty more seconds to show you how sorry I am," Jayda mumbled.

"Jayda, let go. I've forgiven you already."

This was the first time Jayda and Lilian are seeing each other since their small fight. Though Jayda had apologized to Lily over the phone, they have seen face to face because of their crazy schedule.

Outside work, Lilian was always spending time with her boyfriend, Roman. The same applies to Jayda. She was always spending time with Sebastian and Aaron.

"I'm sorry I acted crazy the last time," Jayda said as she ushered Lily to her favourite couch and they both sat on it, facing each other.

"It's all in the past now. What matters is that you and my cousin are together again and happy." Lilian smiled.

Her eyes went to Jayda's belly and her smile got wider. She caressed Jayda's bump. "My god baby is growing up so fast."

"I know." Jayda smiled, "Aaron wants it to be a girl."

"Wow, team baby girl. I promise to buy Aaron a new toy when I pass by a toy shop." Lily smiled.

"You guys should not raise your hopes up, it might be a boy you know," Jayda warned.

"I don't think so!" She smiled.

"How is Roman? I hope you guys have started creating my god baby." Jayda asked. Lilian blushed.

"Roman sends his greetings. We will let you know when we are pregnant. Anyways how are you celebrating your birthday?" Lily asked.

"People in my firm tend to surprise me with cakes and small parties and it can get so overwhelming. I'm happy my birthday falls on a Saturday this time around."

"I'll probably stay at home and pamper myself. I will also remember to fill the fridge with ice cream on Friday so you're invited to my ice cream party."

"How did I end up with such a boring friend?" Lilian facepalmed.

Jayda chuckled, "You love me, that's all that matters."

"So will you go out with me on Friday? Please? What's your schedule like this Friday?" Lilian asked hopefully.

"I have to be in the courthouse in the morning and I think I have meetings with three clients or so. Where do you want me to accompany you to?"

"To the beauty house, to pamper ourselves. We can get a spa treatment, a makeover, get our nails done and from there we will go to the mall for a little shopping."

Jayda stared at Lilian strangely as she spoke. Is there anything I should know?" She asked suspiciously.

Lilian pouted. "Don't be a mood spoiler, Jay! I was indirectly asking for a girls' time."

"Okay, I'll try to adjust my schedule," Jayda promised.
