Cold Showers — Chapter 82

She looked at the direction his voice came from and saw him in Sebastian's arms. Sebastian was walking towards her direction.

Aaron stretched out his arms to her. She took him from Seb and showered his face with kisses which made him giggle.

"I missed you Jayda." He said.

"I missed you too, my love." Jayda kissed his cheek.

"Happy Birthday to you, I brought you a present." He smiled.

"Thank you, dear, and where is the present?"

"The gift corner." He pointed towards the right direction and that was when Jayda noticed a small gift corner which was almost filled with presents.

"It's a picture of me, you and Daddy. You'll love it." Aaron smiled.

"Thank you, sweetheart." She kissed his forehead.

"Mom, Dad, I officially introduce you to Jayda and Jayda these are my parents, Vanessa and Albert Miller." Sebastian did the introduction.

"Good evening Mr and Mrs Miller." She greeted, shyly.

"No need for formalities my dear. You can call me Vanessa or Mom" Vanessa said, pulling Jayda into a motherly hug. Heaven knew she had been dying to meet her. "It's nice to finally meet you Jayda."

"And you too, Mom." She replied.

"You've been reigning in our family even before you and Sebastian paths crossed. Olivia just couldn't stop talking about you. It's nice to finally meet you, dear." Albert said before pulling Jayda into a hug.

"My Son has been the happiest he has ever been while with you. Thank you for loving him unconditionally." Vanessa said.

Jayda looked at Sebastian with so much adoration in her eyes before turning back to look at his parents.

"He makes me really happy too. I'm so grateful to have him in my life." She confessed.

Jayda greeted all her other guests, her brother, Lucas and his wife, Christine. Her nieces, Olivia and Katie were also happy to see their aunt Jayda with her baby bump.

Jayda also greeted Lilian, Roman, Olivia, Amelia, Caleb and his girlfriend, Michaela.

Sebastian also introduced Jayda to some of his business partners and after that, they both settled down to have some food. Seb made sure Jayda cleared her plate. Aaron also ate with them.

When Sebastian saw that the time was getting closer, his palm started getting sweaty. He was surprised at how fast his level of confidence could decrease from 101% to 49%.

"Wow, the great Sebastian Miller is nervous" Caleb teased.

"You're not helping man!" He replied as he rubbed his sweaty palms together.

"I promise you she's going to say YES," Roman assured.

Caleb, Roman and Sebastian were together while Jayda was catching up with Lilian, Micheala and Sebastian's sisters. Probably telling them all of what Seb surprised her with today.

"I hope so! The last thing I want is to scare her away." He replied nervously, then heaved a sigh, "Wish me luck guys."

"Good luck."

"You have my blessings." Roman and Caleb said respectively before Sebastian left for Jayda.

"Sorry to disturb you ladies, I need my woman for a while."

"Sure, we'll be right here waiting for her," Lilian said excitedly, getting ready to take her phone from her purse to record everything.

So Jayda connected her hands with Seb's own and they made their way to the middle of the gathering.

Sensitive Jayda noticed all attention was on her and Sebastian. Her heartbeat increased at the probability of what it could be.

Sebastian heaved a sigh, he intertwined his hands with hers and spoke, looking into her eyes."Jayda, in my thirty-three years of existence, I'm proud to say you're one of the best things that have ever happened to me. I was living a reckless life before I met you and there is no doubt you've changed my life for the better."

"You're kind, beautiful, gorgeous, you have a heart of gold, you're amazing, you help people in any way you can and most importantly, you've loved me for who I am despite my imperfections and I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with a woman that isn't you."

Jayda already had tears in her eyes by this time.

"I know you love me and you know how madly in love I am with you. But I want more! I want to make us official, Jayda. I want you to be my other half, My wife, the mother of my children and the future kids' God will bless us with, I want to wake up beside you for the rest of my life and spend every second of my life putting a smile on this beautiful face of yours"

Sebastian reached for the black velvet box in his pocket and opened it, revealing a very beautiful ring, specially made for her. He gently went down on one knee

"Jayda Isabella Wright, Will you marry me?" He popped the question.

Jayda was an emotional wreck. Never had it crossed her mind that she was going to end her day being engaged. She knew Seb was definitely going to propose but she didn't see it coming today.

Jayda nodded as a happy tear rolled down her cheek. "Yes, Sebastian. I'll marry you."

Everybody cheered and those who had tears in their eyes started wiping them off.

Sebastian slipped the ring into Jayda's finger, he rose to his feet, wiped away her tears with his thumb and gave her a long passionate kiss which made their families and friends cheer louder.

"I never expected this tonight, Seb." Jayda smiled as she admired the ring on her finger.

"I've been wanting to pop the question for a while. But there was just too much going on. I'm glad I finally found the perfect moment. Thanks for saying yes. You made me the happiest man in the world." He placed a kiss on her lips.

"Wow, wow, my BFF is engaged," Lilian said in a sing-song voice as she pulled Jayda into a hug. "Congratulations girlfriend." She added.

Jayda chuckled, "Thanks, Lily. Though I have a feeling you knew about it before today." She added.

"Yes and so does everyone else in this garden. But Roman, Caleb and I knew way earlier. You and Sebastian are so perfect for each other and I wish you guys all the happiness this world has to offer. You guys have been through so much and I have no doubts so many good things await you two."

"Thank you, Lilian, You're truly a friend indeed." Jayda hugged her.
