Chapter 80
Read online · About 5 minutes"Sebastian...this must have cost you a fortune. You should have gone for something less pricey." Jayda whispered, her eyes not leaving the very expensive diamond necklace. It was truly one of a kind.
"You're worth every dime and even more," Sebastian assured.
"I've never owned anything as beautiful as this. You literally just added to my networth. Thank you." She appreciated.
"You're welcome." Seb smiled.
Jayda put the Jewelry box aside and then reached for the card. It was a professionally designed birthday card but the words written on it were in Sebastian's handwriting.
"I never knew I could be this drunk in love with someone. You changed me completely and I promise to love you forever. Happy birthday to the Queen of my Heart, Jayda." She read out loud.
Perhaps her hormones were making her more emotional than she should be but Sebastian quickly wiped the tear that rolled down her cheek with his thumb.
Jayda was happy to know that Sebastian loved and cared for her this much and he never fails to prove it to her every day. "I feel so special right now, Thank you" Jayda sniffed. Seb placed a kiss on her forehead.
Jay reached for the last gift which was the envelope. She opened it. It had two tickets for a short vacation to Dubai.
"I want us to take a short vacation but it's okay if you're not up for it. It's impromptu and you have a job that needs you."
Jayda looked at the tickets again and saw that it was a one week vacation.
"Will the week after next be okay with you?" She asked.
"What???" Sebastian replied in disbelief. He thought he heard wrong.
"Are you free the week after next week?"
"Sure! I mean, I'm the boss so I'm in charge of my schedule."
"We shall go for the vacay the week after next." She concluded.
"I'll clear my schedule for that week. Thank you." He gave her hand a light squeeze.
"Thank you for all the gifts." She leaned closer to him and gave him a kiss on his lips.
"So how do you plan on spending your day?" Sebastian asked as if he had not already planned anything.
"Being lazy." She answered, putting back all her presents in the gift bag.
"Good, because I may have planned something," Seb announced shyly.
"Planned what?" She asked with an eyebrow raised.
"A birthday dinner party with our families and close friends."
"Seb, you didn't have to. They all understand I don't like celebrating my birthday." Jayda pouted.
"Everything has been planned; Unless you want me to cancel and send a message to everyone not to come again." He said.
"Don't be silly. I know you put so much effort into planning the surprise birthday dinner for me. I'm grateful and I'm really excited about the dinner with my loved ones." She assured.
"Good, because I also brought you your outfit." Sebastian rose to his feet and reached for a black squared box that Jayda never knew was placed on the sofa in her room.
"I pray I get used to you spoiling me." Jayda smiled as she collected the box from Sebastian. She opened it, then looked at Sebastian with tears in her eyes. "Please tell me it's not that same dress."
"Fortunately, it is." Sebastian smiled.
Jayda buried her face in her hands. "Sebbbbbbb" She groaned.
The last time they went shopping together, Jayda saw a beautiful dress she couldn't take her eyes off. When Seb wasn't looking, she checked the price tag and was speechless at how fucking expensive it was so she didn't take it.
Now, no doubt Sebastian actually saw her eyeing the dress.
Seb closed the gap between Jayda and made her look into his eyes. "You deserve the dress and even more." He said sincerely.
Jayda hugged him "You're amazing, Seb. Thank you."
Seb chuckled. She had thanked him more than six times already. "You're welcome, my love.." He kissed her forehead.
The rest of the items in the box were matching shoes, clutch and jewellery.
"I think we've spent so much time in this room. Our breakfast should be ready by now"
"Breakfast?" Jayda reiterated.
"A special birthday breakfast by one of the best chefs in the city," Seb said.
"Is it possible to love you more than I already have?" She asked.
Sebastian shrugged. "Just know I will always love you more. Thank you for being with me despite my imperfections." He said sincerely.
While Jayda made her way to the bathroom to clean up. Sebastian arranged Jayda's bed and took the remaining cake to the kitchen.
Jayda walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later with fresh clothes on and they made their way to the dining room where the chef had already set up a romantic breakfast for them.
Jayda and the love of her life had breakfast and they made funny conversations in between.
An hour after they were done with their meal, Two of Jayda's building securities came into her apartment with unexpected birthday gifts.
"This is from Saunders and Co." The taller security guard, holding a very big hamper said as he placed the hamper on the floor at the centre of Jayda's living room.
"These gift bags are from those that I honestly can't remember their names but I made sure the delivery guys left a note in them." The other security guard said as he placed the six gift bags on the carpet, beside the hamper.
"Thank you Guys," Jayda said to the security guards. They nodded, then took their leave.
"I guess these are the things that scare me from celebrating. I receive so many gifts that make me feel overwhelmed."
Sebastian smiled. "It shows you're loved."
"Do you want to open them now or wait until later?" he asked.
"I'll open them later. Let's go where you want to take me." She said excitedly.
They both reached for their Jackets and walked out of Jayda's apartment with their hands intertwined.
.......
Jayda chuckled, "You've got to be kidding me, Sebastian."
Sebastian shrugged and made his way towards his bike. He sat on it and put on his helmet.
"I never knew you were a biker!" Jayda said in disbelief.
"Sebastian Miller is versatile." He said proudly. "Come on, we are going to be late." He nudged her to come closer and she did. He wore a helmet for her and then she hopped on the bike, wrapped her arms possessively around his waist and rested her chin on his shoulder.
Jayda was loving how her day was going already. For once, she wished her birthday was every day so she would get pampered by Sebby.
