The Brother — Chapter 44

Luna's POV

My hands landed on my cheeks, fresh tears flowing down like a river, unending, yet, satisfying.

"Hey, why are you crying?" Devon hugged me closer as we sat beside each other on a van.

The boys had rented a van to accommodate all of us.

After our little incident earlier, we all ended up roaming the city.

However, after we reached the car, everything dawns on me.

I have him back.

I didn't lose him.

I grab his hand and intertwine ours together.

He reached for my cheeks and wipe my tears away.

"I'm just so happy," I muttered, flashing my gummy smile at him.

He flicked my forehead, and I pouted.

"Don't ever run off to me like that, you brat." I swatted his hand away.

"It was your fault anyway. Be glad I even forgive you. I have a lot of men falling in line to take your place, okay." I teased and he smirked.

"Stop it, Luna. Devon had millions of fans to take your place." Jiro smirked.

"Thanks for your support my short cousin. That means a lot." I rolled my eyes.

He snickered at my comeback.

"Luna, where are you staying?" Noah oppa asked.

"I just check in wherever." I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't normally stay in one place."

"Ow, so where are you heading next?" Joshua oppa asked.

"Back to Korea?" I grinned.

"Why?"

"I need to finish what I started. Our grandparents will be disappointed. The truth is, I just asked for a few days to clear my mind"

"So, are we headed to the airport?" Joseph hyung asked confused.

"Well, we can stay here for a few more days if you want," I told them.

"Na-ah. I'd rather go back. I have someone to meet," Sylver oppa muttered before he closed his eyes to sleep.

I raised my eyebrows as I realize something.

"Sylver oppa, do you have a girlfriend?" I asked in disbelief.

Jiro whistled while the others kept on talking.

"Who is she hyung?" Jack asked pestering the sleeping guy

But that's Min Sylver we were talking about...

You can't wake up Min Sylver.

Devon shook his head as we head back to the airport.

I looked back and noticed how Yessa is also sleeping just beside Joseph.

I smirked. The girl was drooling, oh my God.

My hands automatically pulled up my phone from my pocket and snap a photo of her.

This photo will surely be useful someday.

I laugh as I see Joseph oppa was trying not to move as Yessa's head is leaning on her shoulders.

They look so cute together.

"Yah, stop staring at them." Devon nudge me by the shoulder.

"Don't even think about scolding me. You made me cry for weeks. I'm still not forgiving you fully, okay?" I outed and he just pinched my cheeks.

"I know and I'll always remember how you've been so selfless. I feel like I don't deserve you," he sighs and this time, I grab both of his hands to reassure him.

"Don't even think about that. I love you and that's what matters. Besides, you're worth more than what you imagine. You are so much worth it, I can't even explain it with words." I whispered.

He pulled me closer and kissed me on the forehead.

"Oh God, I knew it. They'll be back with kissing and all. Can't you two calm your hormones for like, twenty minutes until you two can get a room?" Noah oppa pouted and Devon just smirked.

"They can't get a room together. Devon will sleep with me." Jiro chimed in.

"Why?" I turned around and raised an eyebrow at him. "Don't even think about it Jiro. I'm old enough to decide for myself." I pouted.

"Don't mind him noona. Jiro hyung is just jealous that you're taking Devon away from him." Jack laugh as he and Joshua oppa high-fived.

"Well, I thought we'll head back to the airport?" Joshua oppa asked and I just shrugged my shoulder.

I don't give a damn whether we head back to Korea now or not. As long as I am with Devon, I'm fine with it.

Suddenly, the sound of a phone ringing was heard.

Noah pulled out his phone.

His eyes widen as he looked at us before answering.

"Yes, Bang PD-nim?" he answered.

Everybody's attention was on him, even Sylver oppa had woken up.

"Ah, ne. We are coming back. I understand."

"Thanks, Pd-nim." he stated before the call ended.

All eyes were on him when the call ended.

"We need to go back," he stated and I turned my eyes on Devon.

He was looking down and though I never heard the whole story, I still care about the whole, group. I can't possibly allow them to sacrifice their dreams because of me.

"So what are we waiting for? To the airport!" I cheerfully exclaimed, trying my best to enlighten the mood.

I felt Devon grab my hand.

"What if they ask me to leave you again?" he asked worriedly, his eyes emanating fear and I had to resist the urge to hug him real tight.

He looks so afraid and lost.

A smile escaped my lips as I cup his face.

"Don't worry. I won't let you go. We'll find a way, okay?" I told him as I pulled him closer to a hug.

I wouldn't exchange this moment for ant bungee jumping or whatever in the world.

"Besides, do you not know who your girlfriend is? This is Park Luna. I can probably buy half of Haven Heals if I want just so you can sing again," I grin at him and he chuckles.

"I'd look like some poor guy leeching for your money." he laughed.

"Well at least you're handsome," I added and I heard someone groan from the back.

"Mr. driver, can you like, drive a little faster? This is getting out of hand and I might vomit any minute because of these two." Joseph oppa gagged and we all laughed.

I know that things might get complicated once we get back but I don't care. As long as he's with me, I'm willing to face all those hurdles. I can even face the press regardless of how much I value my privacy, if it means he can sing again and do what he loves.

For him, I'm willing to sacrifice. like he did for me.
