The Brother — Chapter 14

Luna's POV

I continued walking away from the boys even after hearing all their cries of concern.

From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Jack, Joseph and Jiro stopped arguing from a far, their attention focused on me. And that's what makes me want to run faster.

It was a good decision that I pair white sneakers with my white dress.

I run faster after I heard a heavy pair of footsteps coming towards my direction.

Who the hell is even following me? Don't they realize that I'm not in the mood to talk right now?

To be honest, my mind is all confused at the moment. One moment I was all giddy towards seeing one handsome stranger covered in a towel and next second, my mind is all confused when I saw him getting busy over something with his phone.

It's not like we were in a relationship.

It's funny how I just met him but I've been starting to feel a lot of emotions because of him.

I don't really like "like" him, do I?

I mean, I've been like this to some other guys I've met before so what's the difference?

It's not like his long eyelashes are that special, or his cute rectangular smile, or his perfectly pointed nose. His expressive eyes aren't even that beautiful and his low toned voice isn't that sexy. His abs are just abs. And he is just Kim Devon.

So what's fucking wrong with me?

I stopped in my tracks and started stomping my feet on the ground like a five-year-old kid who was not given a lollipop. I start messing with my hair which I immediately regret after remembering how long I stayed in front of the mirror in order to get the perfect curls that I wanted.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Park Luna?" I said to myself.

And then I heard a soft chuckle just behind my back.

I turned around and saw the man responsible for my mental breakdown, laughing out loud like he saw something really amusing.

But regardless of how dorky his laugh sounded, my heart still started having its irregular heartbeat like how it used to ever since my eyes landed on him.

"Damn Kim Devon," I muttered to myself but I guess he heard because he stopped laughing and looked at me.

"Did you just, damn like "dayummmm" me?" he asked as he tries to fix his posture from almost bowing down due to laughing.

I just rolled my eyes on him. Here I am having the greatest problem of my life but he's just standing here in front of me laughing his ass off because he thinks I'm something funny.

Yeah, damn you Kim Devon, if that's what will make me feel better.

He stared at me softly and my heart almost wavered when his hands cupped my face.

"Did I upset you?" his face a little closer than necessary. The butterflies in my stomach started doing a circus party.

Are we going to have some kind of Part 2 on what happened last night?

Just the mere thought of it made me blush and I was sure he looks confused as hell as to why I was acting this way.

"I guess I did upset you," he said a little sad. I had to fight the urge and stop myself from telling him he doesn't.

"Did I said something stupid last night?"

Yes. You fucking kissed me last night and I'm upset that you don't even look flustered when I'm here all confused more than I had when I was debating who I like better, Justin Bieber or Justin Timberlake. These thoughts screaming on my minds.

I was caught off-guard when his hands landed on mine and he carefully pulled me closer to him as he kissed my forehead.

I felt my body hit by a damn truck, my body stiffen.

"I know the perfect peace offering," he said cheekily as he looked at my horror-stricken face. I allowed him to just pull me to wherever he is planning to go. He can bring me to an abandoned building and kill me but I won't care. Right now, I need to make sure my vulnerable heart would continue functioning because damn Kim Devon is making my system all over the place.

I was so busy struggling with my inner-self when I notice him halting and immediately facing on my still confused face.

He carefully assists me as we occupy an empty space near the counter.

"What would you like to have?" he asked his cute rectangular smile present on his face.

I looked around and noticed that we're inside an ice cream parlor.

Great, another weakness of mine.

"Strawberry," I told him. "I'd like to have a strawberry flavored ice cream."

My eyes were mesmerized when I notice his grin.

"Great. I love strawberry as well. Good then, we can share."

My cheeks turned tomato red while he turned his back and went straight to the counter. I watch as the clerk fan girl over his handsome face. I mean, he looked like a demigod even in just his casual jeans and black sweater.

Confirmed. I'm sure in great trouble.

Kim Devon will definitely be the death of Park Luna. Discussion over.
