The Brother — Chapter 42

Devon's POV

"I swear if we come back to that fucking Tilt or whatever the hell you call that, I will really flip real hard." Joseph hyung muttered as we all exit out of the building in Chicago.

We were trying to look for Luna but we ended up riding that attraction instead.

We all book a flight the next day to follow Luna, and Sarah was left to Luna's parents. I was supposed to bring Sarah along with me but her parents were kind enough to offer that they will watch over her.

Plus, Sarah loves staying with them anyways.

"Devon, I think this be a huge problem." Noah hyung told me as he taps me on the shoulder.

We turned around and noticed a lot of people checking us out with a few taking pictures and videos.

I guess a few of our fans still recognize us even with our long hiatus.

Somehow, I felt bad after remembering how we will no longer be doing a comeback.

My chest tightens as the thought keeps lingering on me.

I ended up screwing my relationship with the woman I love, I delayed the long-awaited comeback of the team, and I am again, disappointing our fans.

Why can't I ever do something right for once?

I was startled when I felt someone tapping me from behind.

"Stop sulking. I know what you are trying to do." Sylver hyung muttered and I stared down unable to continue looking at him in the eyes.

Normally, I always share my feeling with Jiro because we are of the same age but after Luna, I always feel so bad because she is Jiro's cousin.

Of course, he would get mad at me.

I shouldn't have let our manager dictate what I need to do.

I mean, Luna had sacrificed a lot for me. She helped me get out of this stupid shell that I've enclosed myself with.

She made me find myself again.

And yet I hurt her.

"Not everything is your fault Dev." Jack assured me.

"We'll find that girl of yours Devon. Don't worry." Joshua hyung added.

We looked around the area and realized how busy the streets in Chicago is.

And then I noticed Jiro talking with someone the phone.

"No. We need to find her. Please..." I faintly hear what they were talking about.

Before we even realized what's happening, Jiro looked at us and said something that I had wished he told us sooner.

"I know where she is."

We all stood up from our seat and faced him.

His face softens before pointing at the same building where we just exited.

"What the hell, we just came out of that." Joshua hyung pointed out and Jiro grimaced.

He's not fond of the thought of coming back inside the building as well.

"Yessa said Luna and her just came inside a few minutes ago. They probably entered at the opposite side that's why we did not see them."

"We're going to come back?!" Joseph hyung screamed.

"Well, unless you want to get mobbed here by yourself, then be our guest and stay." Sylver hyung smiled at Joseph hyung whose face is still in horror.

"Devon, make sure you get Luna back this time because if we end up looking for her on a much scarier place, I will end your life myself." Joseph hyung muttered before we entered back inside the building.

I felt my stomach hurting as the whole zoo must have been going wild inside.

Just the thought of seeing her again makes my heart flutter.

Wait for me, Luna.

Once we reached the top floor where the Tilt attraction is, we quickly check the place and tried to look for Luna and Yessa.

"Jiro, are you sure they are here?" Noah hyung asked.

I felt so nervous.

There are only a few people but I can't see even an inch of her hair.

"I can't find her."

My knees buckle as I'm starting to lose hope.

I felt Jack's arm around me and I smiled at him.

"Don't give up yet, hyung. Don't make me regret not smacking your face for being an idiot for doing that to Luna, okay?"

I stood up immediately after what he said.

Jack is one hell of a muscle ball.

Even though I am his hyung, we all know how he's a lot stronger than us.

"Okay, Okay! I understand, alright!" I said in surrender.

As if I would give up Luna. I told to myself.

Whatever happens, I will get her back.

"Found her!" Joshua hyung screamed and we all went to his direction.

My mouth hand wide open after seeing Luna on the tilt as if it's nothing when all of the people beside her are almost screaming.

I was staring at her from the side and I am sure she was staring intently at the ground before her.

I admire her a lot.

She's so brave.

Ever since I met her, I knew she's different.

She showed her true colors on the first day. She didn't pretend to be someone else.

She openly admitted how much she likes me and I swear her smile made me fluster the first time I saw trying to coo my sister.

I did not show it but her beautiful eyes made me want to stare at her every minute.

That time when I opened the door in just a towel, I almost made a fist in the air because she found me first.

Not that I won't try to know her better if she didn't. I most probably will be looking for her.

A smile tugged on the corner of my face after I heard the boys.

"Yah Jiro, your cousin is really weird." Joshua hyung muttered still awe how Luna seemed to be enjoying the terrifying ride.

"I'm shocked myself, okay."

"I knew she was trouble when she smiled like a lunatic while we ride on the roller coaster." Joseph hyung added.

"Kim Devon, are you sure about this? You know you can still back out okay. You mind end up living your life jumping off a plane every month." Noah hyung questioned but a chuckle just caped my lips.

This is the girl that I love.

A girl that is not afraid to see everything in front of her.

Once her ride ended, we all went closer to her so she can see us.

A few people had already noticed us and they started taking photos and videos again.

"Oh my God, TRIGGER!"

"I can believe I'm seeing them right now!"

"Oh my, Jiro oppa!"

"You're so handsome, Joshua oppa!"

And I'm sure Joshua hyung made his signature flying kiss when I heard a few of the girls screaming.

"Notice me Jeon Jack!"

"Joseph oppa!!!!"

"Noah oppa, kiss me!"

"Sylver oppa I love you!!!"

"Devon oppa!!!!"

Luna must have noticed the commotion so she ended up looking at our direction.

Once her eyes landed on me, I felt my heart skipped a beat.

God, she looks so beautiful.

"Luna…" I called her name with a smile on my face.

Oh gosh, I miss you so much.

I wanted to run straight at her and hug her real tight. But I got the horror of my life when I notice her eyes got teary for a second before she turned around leaving me behind.

She saw me right?

Did she just leave me?

I felt my world crush in front of me.

Does she not want me back?
