Chapter 48 Saving Her Arse
Read online · About 6 minutesFORREST
“WHO ELSE is there that I don’t know about?”
“Just tell me what’s going on?” I grunted. I meant no disrespect towards him, but he kept on throwing me sarcasm.
“She’s wasted, lad. You better come here and save her arse before someone will take her to the hotel room.”
“I’m coming.” I pinched the bridge of my nose as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. “And don’t let anyone touch her or I swear to God.”
“You wanna mess up with them? These wankers are football players.”
“I don’t give a bloody fuck! You know what to do. Be there in ten.” I hung up the phone and signaled the butler.
“Sir?” He rushed toward me.
“Bring me my car. Now!”
“Yes, sir.” He nodded and bowed politely before he left.
My friends came rushing towards me, wearing a confused look on their faces.
“What’s wrong?” Camila asked.
“Your friend is what’s wrong. Apparently, she has her own way of hosting a party.”
“What? Oh, no. She promised me to say in the hotel until we get back.”
“Well, she’s probably in the hotel, but at the pub with a bunch of bollocks.” I sighed heavily as I propped my hands on my waist. My blood rushed toward my head as I thought of everyone touching her. She was a gorgeous woman, and those arseholes had a thing with an American girl like Megan.
“I love it when you get jealous.” Bianca giggled, hugging Kyland’s arm.
I couldn’t think of anything other than her drunk image with hands of those dafts all over her that kept popping in my head. “I need to go and save her arse before she will regret waking up in the morning in those bollocks’ bed.”
“Oh, my god. It’s kinda hot when you have that accent, you know.” Blaine giggled with Camila. Their husbands just shook their heads at their wives.
The butler parked the car in front of us. The guys whistled in a chorus, especially Camila.
“Shut the front door, Forrest,” Camila gushed. She was an automobile designer after all, and sports cars were her toys.
“I still love my Camry.” Xandry chuckled.
“Wew, what a total badass you have here,” Kyland whistled.
I jumped to the driver seat. “I have to go. Go back to the party. I’ll call as soon as I have her with me.”
“Go ahead, man. And save your girl’s ass. And this is where I say, you’re her knight and shining armor.” Pyke placed his hand on his back and bowed, causing his wife to laugh.
“It’s time for you to put your shit together, bro. And go and get your girl.” Kyland gripped my shoulder with a short nod.
The car purred as I pulled out of the driveway, rounding around the fountain towards the gate. I was already fuming with anger and of jealousy that I had to loosen my tie to breathe well. I was going the spank her arse when I got to see her. That was a promise.
Despite my rage, I was a little bit nervous to face her or how would she react upon seeing me. Was she that wasted? She would not probably remember all of these when she woke up tomorrow. At least I could take a glimpse of her tonight.
A few minutes later, I already parked my car in front of the hotel where they checked in. I threw my keys to the concierge.
I was welcomed with noises, laughter, and yells inside the pub. My blood boiled while my hands were balled into fists to see her laughing her arse out with those bollocks until a strong hand gripped my arm before I could make another towards those arseholes.
“You won’t create a scene, Forrest. I’d been watching them, and their groupies are not around. They were just drinking and having fun. I could say, she’s a witty lass.”
“And it makes me feel better? Can’t you see? Does she look like a groupie? What a barmy! And she’s pissed.” I spat out. I was already marching toward the footballers’ table before Alan could see another word.
“Excuse me, mate. Got to get my lady to our room. She had enough drinks for tonight.”
The blokes stopped laughing and looked at me as if I was some kind of a sick joke.
I showed no interest and stared back at them blankly.
“Do you know her?”
I looked down, and Megan’s sleepy eyes were staring at me in shock. My heart just leaped through my throat.
Fuck yeah! “Yes.” With every curve, with every touch, with every inch, and with all my heart. “Now, love, let me take you back to our room before you will do something you will regret later. I just left in a few hours, look what you’ve been doing.” Such a naughty girl.
“I still want to drink,” she protested and slapped my hand when I scooped her out of these bloody bollocks.
“Mate,” the blond, one of the players protested. You won’t dare to stop me, mate.
“Just toss off!” I roared, making them stop. At the corner of the room, two beefy men stood up. They were probably these wankers’ security details. Who gives a fuck? I needed to take Megan out of this place. “You don’t wanna make a scene over my woman because I will make sure that this will be in every news, every gossip site, and every bloody newspaper tomorrow.” It was not a warning—it was a threat because I would break one of their noses if they laid a hand on her while I was in front of them.
He shrugged and raised his hands. “We’re just drinking and having fun with her, mate.” A player named McConner. Now I remembered his face. He had a handful of women linked to him, and I didn’t want Megan would see her drunk face all over social media tomorrow.
“You are one of a hell of an archaic, handsome.”
“And you are a bloody drunk, Megan.” I hissed in anger that she chose to drink than to see me. Jealousy was still coiling in my stomach. I had to set it aside despite how much I wanted to punch these suckers.
I revisited what mistake I did when she walked away from me. I couldn’t let that happen again by letting my jealousy and anger take charge of me.
Those arseholes couldn’t do anything anymore when they realized Megan didn’t protest again. I carried her out of the pub, bridal style.
Alan was already in the reception, then he gave me a key card. “Call me if you need anything.”
“I get it from here. Go back to the manor and tell my friends Megan is safe with me.”
“Don’t do something stupid.” His warning had me paused.
I threw him one last annoying look before I entered the elevator and punched the floor number. “I can’t promise you that. And what the fuck are you even doing here?” Until now, it didn’t come to my senses what was he doing in this hotel when the party was at the manor.
“Just doing my job.” What’s that supposed to mean?
When I looked down at Megan in my arms, she was eyeing me, inspecting me with interest.
“You look familiar,” she slurred. “Have we met before?”
