His Majesty — Chapter FOURTEEN

Vanessa’s POV

After the little outburst between I and His royal highness, we never talked that much ever again.

He’ll only call during the day to ask how the “baby” was doing and remind me of my checkups at the hospital.

I was almost closing at work when I saw Michael walk into the place with a suit on and I swear I’m drooling, I can never get enough of this guy’s cuteness. Scratch that. Hotness

“Well, what’s the occasion? you look great” I praised and he smiled. God, that smile.

“Had a meeting with some investors and it was a success. I can get open two new cafes around town”

“Wow, that’s really nice. Congratulations boss. I hope we get to celebrate this when others are around” he nodded

“Thank you. Let me drop you off at home…” his words were cut off by the ringing of my phone

It was the devil himself calling and I could curse him for ruining the moment without heavens blaming me for it.

“What do you want?”

“Hello to you too, Vanessa” he knew how much I hate him and he’s doing his best to rub it on my face.

“Yes, cut to the chase, I’m busy” I reply rudely and Michael gave me a weird look which I ignored totally.

“I know you’re working for my really hot cousin, sweetheart. I just called to remind you of the contract. He’s out of bounds for you and remember my eyes are everywhere” What??

“You know what, asshole, you don’t owe me….” he dropped the call, he freaking dropped the call.

“Who was that?” I faked a smile at him and told him it was nobody.

Though somebody I’ll love to beat up someday. Ooh, the joy I’ll derive.

“So, can we go now?” He asked

“Go where?”

“I said I’ll drop you off on my way” he said looking at me weirdly.

On a second thought, “You know what, it’s totally fine. I can get home safely and thank you for the offer. Good night”

I grabbed my bag and ran out of the shop without waiting for his reply.
